Hey! I wanted to ask what your opinion was about the Tulpa Effect. With the whole Slender Man thing that's been going I remembered that someone once said it was possible to create him by the sheer belief of thousands of people but I don't know what to think.
I kind of want to believe it, but right now I can't. There's just not enough evidence for the tulpa theory, in my opinion. Think about it - if the power of belief and thought and faith can bring something into existence, why don't we have several gods running around? Surely, with millions of people believing in certain gods, the tulpa theory would have come into effect by now? Faith that strong would have to have an effect. Even if you're religious and believe your god exists, people of other religions believe the same thing. If your god exists, there's a high chance theirs do, too. If we're talking belief and faith alone bringing something into existence, I thought there would be more evidence by now.
I'm super interested in the paranormal, as is obvious, but I don't believe Slender Man is real, and I try to discourage people from believing it, especially in light of what's happened recently. It's a personal belief that I don't put any weight behind the tulpa theory (though I would be fascinated if proof of its existence actually came to light) so that's why I don't consider Slender Man's existence a possibility through that. However, as I said earlier, it's very difficult for me to believe in a paranormal entity that I literally saw the creation of. Slender Man is a wonderful and creepy mythos, but it is purely fiction, and I believe it's still fiction. Maybe one day proof will show up stating otherwise, but I don't think it's likely.
