"just one more, please kyeom? you look so cute and i want to remember this trip."

your boyfriend sighed but did as you asked, posing for one more photo. he looked over one shoulder at you, tilted slightly towards the camera as he held one hand up in a peace sign. his eyes said he was ready to call it a day but something about that just made you smile even wider as you snapped three more photos while he slid his hands back into the pockets of his cargos and scrunched his nose at you.

he was always handsome but it was in moments like these where you found him most endearing. you knew he had been ready to head back to the hotel hours ago and yet he'd let you drag him around to museums, churches and historical sites all over the city all day.

he might make faces about it but he hadn't complained, not even when you'd talked his ear off rambling on about your favourite facts or the history of each building. he had just leaned one hip against the nearest wall, crossed his arms over his chest and listened.

you could tell he was getting tired as he got progressively clingier as the day wore on. you'd taken a break at a cute café in the square for lunch and he'd taken the opportunity to slip an arm around your waist and lay his head on your shoulder while you people watched and sipped your coffee. there was no one else you'd rather travel the world with, even when he was sick of being dragged out of bed before nine am just so you could stop at every spot you wanted to see that day.

"what's next?"

you could read the exhaustion in his expression but he didn't even blink as he came over and draped his large form over your back. you loved him even more for putting up with your whims like this. even if you both knew he'd be full of complaints tomorrow.

you tilted your head to press a kiss to one cheek. "mm dinner?"

he rumbled in agreement at that, face nuzzling into the crook of your neck as his arms squeezed just a little tighter around your waist.

"this was the last thing i wanted to see today so maybe we can stop for some gelato on the way back to the hotel and then get some room service and call it a night?"

you reached back to run a hand through his hair and smiled as he nipped at your shoulder before moving to lean into the touch. he really was like a large puppy sometimes. it was cute.

"come on, if we time it right we can video call bam before he leaves for his schedules today and check in on how our little chick is doing."

"I already know dalkyum is being spoiled."

you just laughed and stepped out of his arms, taking one of his hands in yours and lacing your fingers together. "mm probably. you know how bam is."

it doesn't take more than a light tug to get him moving but he swipes your phone and pulls you into his side for a few more photos first. you kiss his shoulder, over the layers of striped long sleeve and white tshirt, as he slips the device into one of his many pockets and then finally you're leaving.

"thank you baby."

he just shrugs. "you're always so busy taking pictures of me you barely get any of yourself."

you shake your head. "not true, you've been taking photos of me all day."

he pouts at you. "only because you won't take them yourself."

you grin, swinging your joined hands as you step out of the building and onto the street together. "you take them so much better than i do. besides, can you blame me for enjoying the view?"

he shakes his head then. "you do get very distracted."

you nod and make your way across the main square. "exactly. so many beautiful things to see, you included, and so much cool history. pictures of me are the last thing i'm thinking about while we're here."

yugyeom just smiles and presses a kiss to your temple. "you're lucky i love you so much."

you lean into his side, letting him slide his arm around your shoulders while yours finds a home wrapped around his slim waist. "i know. thank you for putting up with all of my rambling today."

his hand squeezes your shoulder lightly, moving to rest on the back of your neck as you join the line for the nearest gelateria. "i wouldn't have it any other way."

you know once you get back to your room he's going to drag you into bed and not let you leave for at least twelve hours but that’s okay with you. he's more than earned all the cuddles.

you open your mouth to respond when he nudges you up towards the counter. it's your turn. you don’t get a chance to say anything else before he's smoothly reciting your orders, having practiced his italian for weeks before your trip, and the proud smile on his face as he manages to get through it all without stumbling has your chest warming.

you keep one arm wrapped through his as you take your cone and stay close. the hotel isn't far and the walk is nice this time of day. it's after six or seven, still light enough not to need the street lamps to guide you back and the slight breeze is nice.

you don’t even mind when yugyeom leans over to steal a bite of your gelato, laughing at the face you make at him just for good measure. "you're so lucky i love you kyeom."

he just grins and offers you a taste of his in return. "i know."

just like that you stroll through the front doors of your hotel still arm in arm, smiles painted wide over your faces even as the exhaustion from all the walking finally starts to set in.

"tomorrow it's my turn to decide what we're doing."

"mm so sleeping in, maybe a short run, breakfast at that cute rooftop café you wanted to check out that was closed yesterday and then back to bed for more cuddles and a day in?"

he blinks at you. "maybe something like that. are you making fun of me jagiya?"

you shake your head. "no, that sounds wonderful actually."

the happy little sound he makes has you grinning, it’s almost a purr, as you head toward the bank of elevators to make your way back up to your room.

"good. you're all mine tomorrow. no more museums or hikes or cool buildings. just you and me, a hot bath and lots of napping."
