Conditions in my apartment are getting worse. The building is infested with roaches, our outside dumpsters have been left to overflow, and maintenance has basically confirmed that the owner's a slum lord. Traffic in the surrounding area makes any kind of non-automobile travel dangerous - I had to dodge yet another car turning on my right-of-way the last time I had to walk somewhere. I already have trauma from being hit by a car two years ago and having to dodge two cars turning on my right of way less than a week later. Crossing the street nowadays is anxiety inducing, and I don't feel safe even attempting to get around here on a scooter.
In short, I will be changing my fundraising goal back to my original objective of moving funds. My new goal for that will be $1200. I'm already 1/3 of the way there with the money I've raised from the scooter fund. Since SNAP's been shut down I'll also need funding for food, as well as regular survival needs.
