For those of you who are looking to learn simple future tense in French, this is how  to form it and use it.

Simple Future or le “futur simple” in French is an easy tense as the endings are the same regardless of the verb endings. It is used for actions that will occure in the future.

1. Forming future tense of regular verbs

For regular verbs ending with ER or IR, the following endings must be added to the infinitive : ai-as-a-ons-ez-ont.

1. Forming future tense of irregular verbs 

 For irregular verbs, you must know the stems and that is the only difficulty I can see in learning French future tense. For example the stem of être is SER . I will be = je serai.

A suffix is a group of letters that can be added at the end a word and give another meaning. They are very useful when you know how to use them.

The suffix “mane” means having an irresistible attraction for something.

For example pyromane (pyro+mane) means someone who can’t resist the envy of starting fires.

The noun related to pyromane is pyromanie.

Here are few words ending with the suffix mane.

1. Pyromane = pyromaniac

2. Cleptomane/kleptomane = kleptomaniac

3. Mélomane = music lover

French expression "Avoir  la dalle" (to be very hungry) 

“Avoir la dalle” is a French slang that can be translated as "to be very hungry"

.E.g. J'ai la dalle, on commande à manger? => I am very hungry, do we order some food?

Another similar expression is "Crever la dalle" which means to be hungry.
