Knowledge is a Bad Thing!
Knowledge is a bad thing.
Yes. You heard that right!
Now, don’t misunderstand.
This is Not an echo to the famous cliché: Ignorance is bliss. No, this is an emotional fact.
The more you know. The less you enjoy. And to prove it to you. We will use two examples.
Condition: You read the books; you took the seminars; and you understand the facts. Now, you even have come up with your own theories. You are almost an expert. You are a Hobbyist.
Example 1: I walk in the supermarket looking for juice and tomato sauce.Of course, I turn the back to read the ingredients. And of course, you and I know that the ingredients are listed in decremental fashion. (Meaning the first ingredient as the highest percentage.) Verdict: Knowledge is a BAD thing. I can no longer enjoy the little, simple things in life. I automatically read into anything and everything. Looking for places and ways to apply my newfound knowledge. I am smart now.
Example 2: If you have learned to play any instruments; whether it be the guitar or something else. You will no longer be able to enjoy movies and/or Music Videos where someone is playing your instrument. Because you will be able to quickly tell that they are faking it. They are acting! And that goes even for actors who are musicians; who can play the instrument. They still “Act.” And it gets to you. Like that movie/musical that I was watching recently; where this guitar player is shown holding and strumming his guitar, first with his right hand, then with his left. All in the same scene. (the ambidextrous guitar.)
Conclusion: Knowledge is a bad thing. And while I have you here. Let me add. Ignorance Is NOT bliss. Ignorance is not a valid defense. What you don’t can kill you. So it’s best to seek knowledge. At your own peril. At the risk of your future enjoyment. Because Knowledge is a bad thing.
Thanks for reading.
Next, we tackle the famous: Curse of Knowledge.
See you later.
P.S. Now remember, Just pretend that this is my first post; and that you like it very much. And you like me too. In fact, we are “almost” best friends. Good night!
