The experiment was on edge today. It was just one of those days where he was dying for a fight, to burn off some of the excess energy he possessed. Usually he would try pick a fight with one of the other homeless in the alleys, but they had begun avoiding him at all costs now-they couldn't afford the hospital bills every time Dhon scorched their scalps off. "Whatt're you lookin' at!?" the hot-headed firestarter snapped maliciously into the face of a passing stranger. His eyes burning bright red with the anger coursing through him. "You lookin' ta get punched, motherfucker?! Cause I won't hesitate ta melt yer eyes out!"

"Kharon, do you not feel any sort of hope?"

Emily felt nervous as she took Kharon's hand, following his lead in bringing herself closer to him. She's never danced before in her life, and frankly she never really wanted to. But Kharon insisted and she actually wanted to dance with him. It was a sweet gesture. Emily took in a breath and held Kharon's hand and shoulder, following him in his slow and light steps, focusing.

"Has anyone ever told you that you really ought to smile more? This place is gloomy enough, you know."

Holding up a finger, she asked him to give her one second to check out the light behind him. "There, you're going to look like a halo around your head." Was the man her next customer? No, just some guy she noticed in front of her storefront. She almost tripped over herself to run out the door, camera in hand, and try to convince him to let her take his picture. "I own the shop behind me, not going to sell your photo to some magazine." Making a face, she shook her head at the thought of ever selling out to a magazine. Creative and control over her photos was necessary. "So, what do you say?"
