Because this rp builds on events that have already taken place, we have created a “recap” page. New members, those coming back from hiatus, or even people who just want a refresher should find this page helpful. We’ll be updating it after events and when we make big announcements. 

We’d appreciate it if everyone reviewed the Lore and Laws pages on the main. Everyone has been pretty good about sticking to canon, but there have been a few small additions and tweaks that we want to be sure everyone sees.

What Lurks in the Night?

Investigations into the murders of two visitors at a nearby motel have been ongoing since their bodies were discovered in the early morning hours of July 28th. The bodies were discovered after they were set aflame, causing investigators to initially believe that the murders were done by a skilled criminal. However, the autospies were released earlier today, and now, police are baffled as to what really happened to the young victims. 

Deep bite wounds and scratches were found all over the victims. The marks look to be those an animal would make, but no animal could set a fire to try and destroy the evidence. 

What Really Happened?

The nomad wolf @rhyshaywood​ got caught up in his instincts during the July Full Moon and killed the people found in the woods. @caydennilsson​ assisted him in the attempt to cover up the events, but between the blood and the smoke from the fire, the bodies were found relatively soon. It is not common knowledge that these two are responsible for the crime. Unless either role has informed your role, they should not know who did it.

However, it is common knowledge throughout the supernatural world that a crime with those elements that took place on a full moon is most likely the work of a Werewolf. Clan Leaders, Coven Supremes, and Pack Alphas will be on high alert as they question one another to get to the bottom of what happened. This event could divide the community even more as some might wonder if the Werewolves are trying to protect a pack member from the consequences of the Laws. 

Hey everyone, we just wanted to let you know that we’ve made some changes to the checklist! We have now made it mandatory to post and reply to open starters upon joining, in the interest of helping our new members branch out! 

We’d also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to check the starter tag frequently, and to make sure you’re posting open starters so that you can branch out and thread with new members and old alike! We’d like to encourage everyone to post an open starter at least once a week, and to reply to open starters as frequently as you’re able! Thank you for being such wonderful members, and happy roleplaying!

These rules are IC, meaning that they can be broken (after all, people choose to break laws). However, if your role breaks them, make sure you’re ready for the consequences IC! 

Everyone should read these and be aware of the laws that their species are supposed to abide by. 

Hey guys, just to let you know we have added some additional information on how the different species might be able to detect one another to our LORE page! We noticed there has been some confusion in this regard, so hopefully this will clear things up!

To summarize the addition, while Vampires and Werewolves are able to identify one another by scent, Fae & Witches are indistinguishable from regular humans. Older Fae and Vampires (several centuries old) may be able to tell them apart based on observing their habits and traits, but this is a skill gained through centuries of observation and cannot be accurate one hundred percent of the time.

Given how well everyone has been doing at answering everyone’s starters, we feel like this is an unnecessary stipulation that might be stifling your creativity, so we threw it away! While we still encourage you to answer other starters and to let no starter go unanswered, you may post open starters at your own discretion!
