If Laikaās scowl got any worse, it was very possible it could stay that way. Enzanās remarks didnāt help the situation at all, and without a second thought, Laika rose his hand up and slammed it down on the desk next to his PET.
The shock caused Searchman, who had been tossing a basketball into a hoop, miss his shot and stare up at his NetOp.Ā
"You know very damn well why Iām here and what needs to be fixed. Donāt give me that shit." Laika finally said, his voice quiet and restrained. His attempts to prevent yelling didnāt seem to apply to his choice of words however. "Fix it. Now."Ā
"Laika, calm down." He took a step forward, reaching over to set his open hand atop the arm belonging to the hand Laika hadā¦.placed, on the desk. Nettoās eyes flickered across the desk. "Iām sure Enzan has a few ideas on how to fix this problem."Ā That he might have, obviously, caused.Ā "ā¦.Right? One or two?"
Continued from this.
"I might have an idea..." Enzan began slowly, fighting the urge to grin. He may have been vice-CEO of IPC, but he'd never expected his little prank to best even the intelligence of the Sharo military. Perhaps that 'child genius' title people kept using wasn't so far off the mark after all. "But I doubt Laika will be happy with it."
It was more than a doubt, heĀ knew Laika wouldn't be pleased, but he'd have to proceed with caution. After all, his prank wasn't complete just yet. He had but one more step to complete. He just hoped it wouldn't land him with a black eye.
Meeting on the Eve
[currysavior - I don't know what you had in mind for this, but here is a starter for your thing.]
It was still early for him to be headed out, but he'd hoped to slip out unnoticed. Between the staff and his brother, Enzan's morning had been surprisingly busy and he'd had little time alone. The moment he'd gained the peace of solitude, he grabbed a black pea-coat from his closet and headed out the front door. He really couldn't afford another wave of distractions.
"Estimated arrival time in twenty-six minutes and thirty-four seconds, Enzan-sama,"Ā Protoman announced as the card pulled out of the driveway. It wasn't a long drive, but it didn't seem as if it would be long enough. Netto had a rather unfortunate habit of being late at times, and arriving half an hour early already promised an awkward amount of time waiting outside something that wasn't going to be open in the first place.
Just what is he hoping to do...? Enzan thought absently, slipping out of the car as it stopped in front of the arcade. He lingered for a moment, relishing in the final moments of warmth for the car before thanking his driver and walking closer to the building. If he was going to be out for a while, he'd want to avoid the wind while he could.
Heā¦didnāt know him? But if this was Enzan, wouldnāt he know who Netto was? Then again, he was pretty small at the moment. Maybe that had something to do with it. Netto didnāt move any closer, his knees bending as he opened his hands towards the young Ijuuin. āI was just looking for you, thatās all. Your brother was wondering where youād ran off to, Enzan.ā Would this really work as an excuseā¦? Enzan wasnāt stupid, but the brunet did actually know Bruce.
It could have been a trick, easily, but the thought didnāt even pass Enzanās young mind as he relaxed further still. His eyes were curious as he stepped forward and inclined his head, one of his fingers coming up to touch his chin thoughtfully. āYou know my brother?ā he asked, āI thought he was at school. How did he know I left the house?ā
Even while he nodded, something didnāt sit right within him. Lying to Enzan, even a little one, wasnāt what he ever wanted to do. It made his stomach quietly squirm. āYeah, he is.ā A small smile inched upon Nettoās face. āI bet you didnāt know that he likes to keep in contact with the house to make sure youāre okay though, did you? When you left, they called him and I told him Iād find you. Schoolās important to your dad, isnāt it?ā
Pausing in his movement forward, Enzan stared at Netto, confusing melting across his face. Bruce had told him that they weren't allowed to have PET out when in class, the teachers said they kept people from doing their work. How was he calling the house. "...that doesn't make sense," he frowned and started to move backward. Maybe this person wasn't as safe as he thought. "Bruce doesn't break the rules. He couldn't call."
And his father... his father wasn't home a lot. He didn't know what his father thought of school.

"Should I be concerned you rate the value of your friends in comparison to curry?"
"But Iām trying to say that youāreā¦I meanā¦Iām not rating a friendās value by comparing that value to curry!"
"Then why did you just do it with me? You asked me if IĀ was curry. If you're not going to get to the point--"

...I told you not to go through a window.
Netto. I know you can see this. I don't know what you're doing, but knock it off and do your homework. Rockman is naggingĀ me now. I have better things to do than placating your navi because you've gone MIA.
#What?Ā #You didn't like my singing?
Not in the middle of he night at my office door. No.
And it wasn't singing. You were just shouting.
