My best, most productive tomatoes are the ones I did absolutely nothing about! 😆 . Apparently last year’s currant tomatoes dropped & self seeded outside the raised bed, & then used the cover of the late monster “cube of butter” squash plant to tumbleweed out. Removed the squash a few weeks ago & kaboom! Currant tomatoes everywhere! 🥳 . Harvested a bunch, trellised some strands, & pruned back the rest of the rats’ nest. (Wait, why didn’t the rats eat these low-hanging fruit?!? 🤔Or the gophers the roots?!? 🤔🤔) .
