Bofur detested the cells, the lack of knowledge as to what time it was, or... how long theyâd been in there. The only sliver of hope heâd been able to parse out was the occasional appearance of Bilbo. That didnât tell him what day it was, not really, but as long as the hobbit was able to continue sneaking about the halls, then they werenât completely lost to these dungeons.Â
He brightened when he saw Bilbo, pushing past his cousin and delivering the kiss to Bilboâs hand.Â
When Bilbo made a strange little noise, Bofur smiled more. If nothing else, he had that to think about.Â
Behind him, Bifur muttered what sounded like âlalâkhâ, but he ignored it as he straightened back up. He let go of Bilboâs hand, holding onto the bars of the door as he watched Bilbo.Â
âDonât know what it is youâve got up your sleeve, Bilbo, but I trust you will,â Bofur said sincerely. Either he had a knack at hiding or.. well, Bofur guessed the elves might be too drunk to notice a small creature like Bilbo. Though he wasnât certain on that, but heâd hold tight to any notion that meant Bilbo would be safe and not stuck in the cells with them.Â
