Portal 2 is a fantastic game. Totally managed to hold up to the original Portal without over relying on reminding people that it’s the sequel. The environment was amazing. Hilarious dialogue, great character building, J.K. Simmons!!! <3 <3 <3, a heartwarming ending with a beautiful ending song that pulled a couple tears out.

I'm not trying get sympathy but I'm just saying - I understand 100% how difficult it might be for students in America to study but I feel that people need to start realising that America does not represent the world, and America does not have it the worst.
Okay in what way did I ever imply that America had it the worst? I never said anything like that, and I would never say anything like that. I wrote about the system I understand the best, which is the American system, and the system I have the most experience with, and the system I have the most influence on. Also, that post was about the American system. It makes sense that I would talk about the American system on that post, not launch into a research project about other countries' secondary education systems.
You could have done some good by reblogging that post yourself and telling the rest of Tumblr what you have to deal with (which is still an option you have- other perspectives are always valuable), but for some reason you decided to come to me and tell me to stop being an American supremacist because I think America needs education reform- which we desperately do. Perhaps your home country also needs reform. That doesn’t make my post untrue. Narrow, sure, but not fallacious.
Things being hard other places doesn’t make it easy in America, and it definitely doesn’t make any sense to come into my inbox and tell me about how I’m wrong because school is/was hard for you too. I know high school is hard in other parts of the world too, but America needing to change doesn’t imply that the rest of the world has it easier, and doesn’t exclude the idea that it could be harder in other places. It isn’t the only system that needs to change, though that doesn’t change the fact that it desperately needs to change. I don’t study global education policy, I just know that the system is shit in the United States and needs work.
Talking about the United States is not the same as thinking the United States represents the world, either.
