Day 140. Discovered laap in Luang Namtha in 2011. As there are no Lao restaurants in Helsinki, I'm always delighted if I spot this spicy salad on the menu of a Thai restaurant, like today in Korphai.

Day 109. The 5:30 wake-up to catch a ferry resulted in second thoughts about my travel plan... They were gone latest when sipping apple wine and tasting contemporary Latvian tomatoes at Valtera in the evening. Jack Kerouac put it well: "But no matter, the road is life."
Day 92. What a Gourmet Friday. First visits to Pastis and Meche. Mouthwatering dishes. Attention to detail to the extent of serving tap water in glass bottles that say "bottled on-site for the environment and the good taste".
