Nameless
A 100 word drabble I wrote at SWG instradrabbling event on April 4, 2026. My prompt was: touch, name, reason, clear. Also posted on the SWG site.
I wrote three drabbles during the event, but this one I like the most.

Tolkientober day 26 - Cuiviénen
Very small watercolour drawing
Imin was the first of the elves to wake up at Cuivienen, and the forefather of the Vanyar.
He was described as arrogant and he claimed the smallest group of elves, only 12.
I've portrayed him as older here, as elves do eventually age and the males grow beards.
At the Shores of Cuiviénen
(Part 2/3, Part 1, Elwë)
Another little story for March of the Quendi hosted by @march-of-the-noldor. A look at Finwë's attempt to call his family to Valinor.
--
“Laswen! Rinwë!” Finwë shouted to his cousins, waving his hand high to try to get their attention.
The grasses here grew tall and strong while still being supple enough when green to weave into baskets and mats. Laswen and RinwĂ« (cousins through their aunt’s marriage to his grandfather’s brother) were pulling the grasses up by the roots. They worked slowly, taking care to avoid sliding their skin against the sharp blades as they shook off the soft dirt and piled the plants on a sled. The pile was large already and would be larger still before they dragged it back to the encampment.Â
Finwë called their names again as he approached so he would not startle them.
Rinwë looked up first and nudged his older sister.
“Hello, Finwë,” Laswen said, standing to greet him. “Have you come to help? Inwen needs two new fish traps—two! And she asked as though it were some small thing.” She shook her head. “We could use your hands.”
Last Line Game
I was tagged by @tethysresort to share the last line I wrote. Miracle of miracles, I was in fact writing today after driving 1200 miles. For my silm abo AU, inspired by March of the Quendi:
Of everything, of the strange disappearance, of the miraculous return, of the twisted face that no longer mirrored his own, the thing that scared him the most was Elwë’s faith.Â
Tagging @thescrapwitch, @nor5tar, @curufiin, and @runawaymun. If you don't have a writing line, how about the last bit of some other project you worked on?

Elves Awake in Cuivienen under the Stars by Sepide-Donne
Two elves in Cuiviénen, when the world was young.
Without the red text:
Their names are Lalwë & Rayë. They're twins and I have a doc full of notes about their whole life stories that i might share at some point.
the writing isn't a canonical script, just gibberish. I'm using it as an Avari script. It spells: Khintarwe, Khindorwe. Khin means here or now, tar means to stand with connotations of nobility, dor means to dwell or abide, or land, or firmness, and -we is a plural pronoun. In short, it means, here we stand, here we stay. It's the Avari's general response to Oromë's invitation to Valinor: no thanks, Eru put us here and this is where we are meant to be.
If you could pick a color to represent Adar, other than black/white/shades of grey. What color would it be??
OHHH this is a lovely question, @emillelavender!
So i have actually always associated Adar with two very specific color palettes: one that's very dark blue/purple/pink/green for the starlit lake at Cuivienen and one that is very green and gold, for the sun and the trees.
