Heres several large blocks of text! I thought i should probably explain what the hell these things actually are at some point, but I loathe designing textposts so it's been put off for a bit.

I'd just write something regularly but nobody on social media reads that these days unless its graphic designed to the nines with lots of little images and diagrams for their pondering. What a time to be alive!

Anyway I'll quit my whinging and give you a fun fact.

Chargerpillar was made in 2018 as a joke, and ended up part of the actual story and lore.

Fawkes Flower Festival

The fawkes flower festival is an important hallmark of culture for chargers species and the city of Fawkes Twist (Subearth), in which they reside, as a whole. It represents rebirth and a view of how the year has been so far. Many older residents of the city celebrate the spring (March - April) as the new year due to this festival, while newer residents follow the calendar based in New Earth, which is our standard Jan - Dec calendar.

The festival itself is celebrated with each participant having their own flower garland with flowers that represent each aspect of their year so far, their goals and challenges. Every flower has it's own special meaning, and the dictionary in which these are stored is a book so large it has to be kept in the city's town hall. Each year, people will flock to read this dictionary to decide what their flowers for the festival will be.

Florists thrive around this time, and often are reclusive all year until this point, choosing to spend all their time tending to their flowers. Some people put their requests in early so their flowers can be grown in time. The more notable families tend to have a live in florist. (An entire seperate blog post on the florists of Fawkes Twist will be penned much later on, and the meanings of the flowers defined)

The festival itself involves a parade and trading of flowers, symbolistic of giving your loved ones love and peace. There is also several food stalls and foods only available during the festival. These are heavily sought after due to being a limited time offer.

It's a tradition thought to be started by some of the very earlier settlers of Subearth over 800 years ago, but has deviated greatly over time with several natural disasters taking out information sources.
