I didn’t know anything about the #CTShame campaign until I read Ryan’s article about it. It struck me as more than a little bizarre that Christianity is attempting to align its social media efforts such that we’re not “shaming” those who are abusing power. Ryan wrote about how it feels to personally “call out” those in power, and how there are not actually “two of him.” It takes enormous courage to call someone out, and he’s only doing this because he believes it must be done. This article broke my heart a little bit, because I know Ryan personally, and I know in the context of his life, this may have been a difficult thing to admit, and I am sorry that he often feels so alone in speaking the truth.
