Gamehaven trio but like if they were designed by some gay nerd instead
AKA i wanted to try my hand at a light "how i'd intpret them redesign" of the main trio since i have dabbled in a bit of edits but mostly keep them to their in canon designs, so this is more just drawing my idea of how id make them look!
I tried to not repeat past headcanons ive had on their sheets and played around more with ideas for their orientations since i think its fun to see what microlabels i like for them, i kept most of the design notes off of them but i have included a large list of them below the read more if you're interested, thank you for reading!
- I gave Ethan a scar under his eye and a chipped tooth cause i like the idea of them being scars from his youth that are essentially his only long lasting scars post-powers, they're the only ones that left a mark that werent forcibly rehealed from respawning. Plus i think them being from childhood memories gives a fun idea of Carlie even leaving these physical marks on him, unintentional childhood accidents from sibling roughhousing that are now little mementos of her.
- I also gave Ethan some light freckling and made him just a little shorter than Lucas, in canon both are around 5'11" but i like the contrast of Ethan being a little shorter than him and my personal headcanon of Lucas being more of a late bloomer, so he was shorter than Ethan for a bit in their childhood before eventually ending up taller in the end despite Ethan teasing him about it.
- For his fashion and for the rest, i tried to keep in mind they're meant to be around 30 or so if A&D is on a fairly synchronized time with us, so i leaned more towards Millenial fashion and fashion of the 00's and 10's.
- With Ethan i leaned towards layered and comfortable clothing honestly pretty in-line with his canon look, lots of graphic shirts and slip-ons like a pair i own since i think he'd want something simple without struggling with tying shoes and all that. (It cuts into your game time in the long run!) I wanted to prioritize comfort and kind of lean into an almost 90's look, tying to Ethan's more immature nature compared to the others.
- I also gave them some small IDs / Nametags i imagine would just be worn in the store, with Ethan carrying his in a lanyard to make sure he doesn't lose it (again), but it also makes it harder to read his name, which i think is a funny little detail.
- I like to kinda associate each guy with a part of the RGB color scheme, with Ethan being blue, Lucas being red, and Scott being green. I think its a cute little thing tying them to their identities and giving Scott green completes a nice little Sony - Nintendo - Xbox trio between them too!
==
- Lucas in A&D is a little more tan than Ethan but it can be hard to notice in some panels since its kinda faint? I pushed it a bit more especially considering that Omnitropolis is kind of nebulously on the East Coast and perhaps a coastal town in general since they have a boardwalk, i imagine they get at least a little sun out there and Lucas would be more likely to hang outside.
- In contrast to his original CAD-self who i see as a more dishelved "throw on a shirt as long as it doesnt smell too bad" kinda guy, I more based A&D Lucas off of 2010s fashion magazines and even things like old red carpet fashion and Jersey Shore, just with some runners sneakers instead incase something falls over and he needs to run over.
- I wanted him to both be fashionable (i saw a term called manlypop while doomscrolling and drawing and i think thats very him to me, masculine in apperance but in a fashionable way) and again also look more like he actually gets out there compared to Ethan. Lucas is someone who i see being more self concious and also is confirmed to have been casually dating and hooking up pre-meeting Ben, so i think he keeps up more with his appearance besides having to patch himself up sometimes after a rough night of heroics.
- For his ID, it's clipped onto his shirt halfhazardly to emphasize his get-up-and-go additude, just trying to focus on getting it on before having to go handle an issue in the back.
- I leaned into him being kind of top-heavy since i like the silhouette it gives him, plus making him more of the brawn compared to Ethan having more of a sprinter's build, he's already a bit bulkier than the other two in canon, i just like to push that a little further, since i imagine him as more of a Gym Rat than his prior iteration.
===
- I do kind of struggle drawing one of this style but i wanted to give Scott a more active wheelchair design as it is kind of something that sticks in my mind, with Scott being paralyzed for several years now i would like to see him in a bit more of a supportive chair, plus giving him a little backpack attached to the seat in case of emergencies. Also some gloves for more comfort pushing the chair since it's a manual one.
- While I don't see Scott being nearly as fashion forward as Lucas, i wanted to lean more to a nerdy chic / almost preppy aesthetic with him instead. (Also just cause im partial to him in a nice button up or polo. <<;) I wanted to give him pretty neat looking clothing that i imagine comes from one of those mall stores that are stupid expensive like Abercrombie & Fitch, well made but again, stupid expensive. I also think he leans for comfort just with a little more sense of "smart" dressing than Ethan, however some days he does just say fuck it and defaults to a shirt or baggy hoodie like in canon.
- In addition, i also gave him some Velcro strapped sneakers for ease of access and his blue tinted lenses since i think they're pretty iconic to him! His ID is neatly attached with a clip, looking a little sterile but the most professional of the group.
- It is a little hard to tell since he's sitting down, but i'd say Scott is the more scrawny of the group with the exception of strong forearms, since he's not out and about nearly as much as the others and was likely a bit of a nerd prior to meeting them. I did also give him a bit of extra body hair mainly on his arms, which i just think is a nice addition.
- Also i added some stickers to the back of his laptop for fun, most are related to little references (things like Deadpool, the rebels, cake is a lie) or more tied to traits like the penguin company as a reference to Ted and the XCFE mouse!
- I did make his hair a little fluffier, I think he probably straightens / relaxes it a little compared to when it waves and curls more when unkempt in the flashback, also i cant bring myself to remove his iconic little emo bang but i think his hair is more naturally curly when left untouched.

id luv to hear u yap about your classpect justifications for the cad 1.0/a&d crew. if you want to yap ofc.
HIIII sorry it took a bit cause I've been kind of busy today BUT i can talk more about them yes!! I imagine the different iterations of the characters being in their own respective sessions, so i'll cover them seperately: (Under read more for space and all)
1.0 ETHAN - PRINCE OF TIME
For the 1.0 session I wanted to go for the idea of a technically functional but emotionally disregulated session so initially i had Ethan for the Space player, however thinking about it, I think him as a Prince instead is a more fun take on his character. Ethan struggles with impulse control and addictive tendencies (shown both in his relationship with MMOs and alcohol), as well as lacking patience and acceptance of things involved with the aspect of Time. As a (most likely not well managed) Prince of Time, I think Ethan would adopt the destructive side of the classpect being a bit reckless with it which would lead to conflict in the group as he would most likely want to be the self-appointed leader as well.
An extra note is that while I don't like taking literal elements for classpecting (I find people get a little pigeon-holed with it, like for example, classpecting a person who time travels as Time instead of considering other options) he has had actual interactions with time manipulation and multiple selves (the obvious of the comic ending plot thread as well as his cloning machine in the end part of Season 2 of the animated show) which are both powers of Time players while also still tying back into his impulsive nature and tendency to chase ideas without thinking them through.
1.0 LUCAS - BARD OF BLOOD
One of the main story threads about Lucas in 1.0 is his issues with interpersonal relationships and tendency to deteriorate his bonds with others due to his tough nature and fear of ending up hurt in the end, which I think associates well with being a Bard. Bards (from what we've seen) are about slow, sometimes entirely unintentional destruction of their elements and destroying with that element, with Lucas having trust issues from Ashley and Lucy, he ends up cutting off the nurse and having issues with Katy down the line which ends in her just sort of disappearing at the end of the story.
As well as his romantic relationships, something I also think is interesting is that Lucas is a pretty envious person, even if he won't admit it. He wishes he could have the life Ethan has that he thinks he doesn't deserve, even if he loves his friend and recognizes how hurtful that thought process is. He doesn't get how someone so eccentric and dangerous can have a happy life, a partner who loves him, still having a job despite his antics, while Lucas is stuck in the ditch with no one there looking in but Ethan.
1.0 SCOTT - HEIR OF VOID
For 1.0 Scott, it's a little hard to work with him due to hisโฆ Strange existence in the story. He wasn't intended to be a character nearly as long as he was, just sort of disappearing halfway through before having one large blowout before finally being written out of the story. He tends to come and go without many people noticing him, even entirely managing to avoid one of his roommates for the several years they lived together. So for him, I think Void is kind of a shoe-in, but I did struggle a little for his class. I was between Sylph and Heir, however i think Scott here is much less active than the Slyph and instead is more like a piece being turned in a larger puzzle.
Tied to a straight up psychic connection level with Ted and sharing a somewhat familial bond with him (I would somewhat jokingly argue Ted is the closest to a Lusus a human can have), Scott focuses heavily on his goal of destroying Microsoft because it's what he was TOLD is righteous and what needed to be done. He ends up isolating from the others, dedicating himself to years of work even if he had to entirely restart due to the housefire, and ultimately serving as Ted's scapegoat when the police finally discovered him, all for them to never actually stop Microsoft. Thus in this more flawed session, I think Scott here is an unhealthy Heir Of Void similar to Equius, being so susceptible to others influence he ultimately lets himself be consumed and become Void entirely.
1.0 LILAH - MAID OF SPACE
With Ethan originally being my Space choice i had Lilah put down as a Time player, but it never really felt right to me. Her as a Maid of Time felt like making her more rigid than she actually was if that makes sense? Instead, with her taking Space, i wanted to interpret it as agency, drive for her ambitions instead. We have a small bit of insight into Lilah's background with it being kind of partially a "Ah she wasn't like Other Girls her age" but also her relationship with Christian is a very fascinating insight to how she may have been when she was younger too. Being such a flashy and overbearing person, it's possible she could have been choosing him believing it was what was 'right' for her due to his charisma and wealth, but his infidelity may have been more of a wake-up call to her.
With moving out, we see her slowly begin to make more of her own decisions and break out into herself, going with Ethan who while kind of insane and impulsive brings out her more nerdy side, deciding to move in with Ethan and his friends, and eventually her largest character development of deciding to risk quitting her job to become a professional E-Sports player. I think she'd likely have one of the healthiest developments in the game despite the stress of it, though Maids struggle with their aspect initially, I trust that if given the space to (Ha) she would learn to become more fluid, creative, and ultimately ascend to godhood.
1.0 ZEKE - PAGE / THIEF OF HEART
If my dual classpecting here wasn't making it apparent, i was really on the fence for him. I would say Zeke's strongest story in both 1.0 and A&D is identity, though for 1.0, that has more to do with the physical of being a robot compared to his flesh and blood companions around him. Why i was between Thief and Page however, is due to his behavior. Zeke is a very pompous, cocky, and crude robot on the surface, playing up his disgust and 'hatred' of humanity as their ruler, but in reality, it seems that unless pushed to through grief with the death of Embla, he doesn't really want to be the overlord of humanity.
Instead, despite his talk, Zeke does earnestly try to learn and adapt alongside humanity and all the messy concepts that come with it like emotions, love, connection, and entertainment. So I think if you want to argue more that Zeke plays up the emperor act to hide his lack of identity inherent to fleshy humans then Thief, but if you more want to argue that Zeke acts in a way that he thinks is natural but does try his best to learn alongside everyone and just struggles with that journey, Page.
EMBLA - SEER OF RAGE
Finally, partially to sort of contrast my inclusion of Carlie (who i'll explain later), I decided on Seer of Rage for Embla. Many kind of underestimate the active-ness of a Seer due to the idea that comes with the name, Seer implying passive observation and prophetic descriptions, but a Seer as far as I interpret is more like a seeker than just an observer. Embla is a much more active person than Zeke in the plan of overthrowing humanity, not wanting to connect on the frivolous nature of humanity and instead acting quickly to work on his plan and establish him as a leader.
When Zeke stalls and pushes back, Embla doesn't hesitate to go on her own and try to do things on her own, and while this ultimately doesn't end well due to her disease, I think it speaks volumes on her thought process. She isn't the kind to force people to change around her but she doesn't stand for inaction, thus going for Rage as the aspect of change, even if it means going into the unknown world around her by herself.

2.0 ETHAN - ROGUE OF LIFE
With A&D's session being more the inverse of the 1.0 session, i went for more emotionally tuned players without the 'necessary tools' of a Space and Time player to help them instead. For a while i had interpreted Ethan as a Hope player, taking the idea of him being a sort of beacon of the Spirit Of Heroism, but my partner actually talked me more to a Life player sway instead. Life is a very good tie for Ethan here both for the literal interpretation of Life and Rebirth (and rebirth, and rebirth, and-) but also Life as emotional healing as well. He approaches things with a very energetic and still somewhat impulsive worldview, but unlike his 1.0 counterpart, Ethan here desperately cares about being liked and being someone who's able to do good things for others.
He's envious of people with 'better powers' but unlike 1.0 Lucas who channels that into anger, Ethan distracts himself and devalues himself and his efforts, but like a Rogue, his efforts and distribution of Life impact others more than he realizes. I'd say Ethan is the most emotionally open one of the trio and is the one who tends to extend the hand out when Lucas and Scott think someone is too far gone like with Zeke, but this sometimes can be at his own detriment like with Nicole. I think we're still in the middle of a long growth for Ethan at the moment, trying to learn to still extend himself out to others while also learning to respect himself instead of throwing himself in the face of death for everyone else.
2.0 LUCAS - MAID OF BLOOD
While also a Blood player like his 1.0 counterpart, I instead went for Maid instead of Bard to reflect the difference between the two's emotional skills. 1.0 Lucas is outwardly brash and stern which leads to his relationships struggling while A&D Lucas does excel in having physical intimacy, but I'm not sure he has as much luck with his emotional intimacy. From what we do see of Lucas while he is a shoulder to lean on and an ear to listen, when pulled between two people or into unknown territory he struggles immensely to handle the pressure and can make flawed decisions or try to break off to avoid having to deal with it entirely.
It does seem with his relationship with Ben he's working on being more honest with himself and communicating with others, however i think the Maid's struggle with bonds here comes from his desire to avoid confrontation, to flee from commitment and escape into the anonymity of D-Pad. I think there's quite a lot of interesting relationship with Lucas and his secret identity, the idea that no one knows who is behind his mask and he doesn't have to be Lucas when he's out there on the field, so he never has to be there as Lucas when the night is over, he does his job, he saves some people, and then he can just take it off and never have to see them again.
2.0 SCOTT - PRINCE OF VOID
This is going to probably be a bit of a long, rambling section because Scott is my absolute favorite character, you see my giant Scott themed banner and PFP and majority of posts about him, i fear this is just part of the ride.
SO for Scott I am admittedly very assured about the title of Prince of Void, because i think it ties very well into the story arcs we've had for him over the years, more so destroying his aspect and with his aspect due to fear. Void for A&D Scott means the unknown, the uncertainty of the future, the things he can not control, everything he struggles so immensely with. After the shooting in which Carlie was killed and he was paralyzed, he feels helpless to do anything about it, he can't go back and save her despite putting himself in front of her, the police were useless to catch the killer, nothing changed, all that was left behind was grief and an unbearable weight.
So lost in his mourning, he never wanted to be the bystander again and have anyone else go through the same thing he has, so this leads to his overprotective and paradoxically deceptive nature that leans into the destruction WITH part of the Prince. In Scott's eyes, lying to others, making decisions for them, and going against their judgement is ultimately justified if what he perceives as a threat never happens. Unlike Ethan and Lucas who are more avoidant, Scott is stubborn to a fault and arguably a control freak while keeping a distance even from his friends to not have to admit how hard things are for him to inconvenience others. Plus, being the researcher and gadget guy for the other two, he seeks out and develops ways to handle these unknown issues to avoid having problems.
This balance between seeking knowledge while also cutting off knowledge from others makes me believe more that he's a Prince instead of a Mage, as while Mages are also knowledge seekers who suffer from their aspects, the active decision to cut others off and close these doors is what ultimately pushes my decision towards Prince instead. He has learned to be more accepting of the unknown and learn to trust others through the comic, but I don't think he's fully learned to remove his hand off the holster, I don't know if he ever will truthfully and I don't think it's entirely a bad thing either. He serves as the logical side, the skeptic to hold back the other two from getting into dangerous situations.
What i consider her main struggle is more so the society around her and the hurdles she has to climb to even have her voice heard in the first place. She's not the main writer, she's expected to follow along with her coworkers and avoid getting close to the action at all, however again, she despises this complacency. So instead, she has to learn how to work around it and sneak around the barriers, how to climb the walls set up to block things off. Plus, since we have an in canon example of a Seer of Light, i think their mindsets work pretty well compared to each other, even if Rose was younger when ascending to Godhood both have a more distanced relationship and reckless but calculated mindset, risk is known but ultimately pushed through regardless of the danger it holds.
2.0 LILAH - SEER OF LIGHT
While Lilah in 1.0 I would classify as being on her journey to discover herself and how to be that self, A&D Lilah i would say is much further along that goal and qualifies under a Seer more than a Maid. She knows what she wants, she wants to depict life as it is and give her reports to the extent of what actually happens, even if it means getting herself in danger because she believes that people deserve the truth instead of just fluffpieces and half-baked journalism. I think Lilah here fully goes for the Active role of a Seer, desiring to learn more about the world she would be in and how everything around her ticks.
Though they have become more in tune with humans, I kind of view A&D Zeke as being more like Embla than their past self when it comes to their actions, they know they aren't human and that they can't truly fit in a puzzle they're not made for. Instead, they're more independent, even if it was due to a stronger push from the betrayal from Scott and Lucas it is ultimately their decision much later on to not return with Ethan and Scott. They can't be fully happy just living in content in Gamehaven, they need to know who they are and they need to do that alone, even if they still try to help it's from a comfortable distance to maintain that independence.
2.0 ZEKE - WITCH OF RAGE
I think Witch of Rage fits Zeke best here as while they do have the struggle of identity like 1.0 Zeke, i think it's much more about their right to exist in general. While 1.0 Zeke was made to simply exist and entertain those around him, A&D Zeke was made expressly to hurt others, to carry the idea that technology is a crutch for humanity and to be used as a tool for a creator that relied on them but loathed them as well, treating them like a weapon to be kept in line and disciplined to be properly used. When taken out of that environment, Zeke doesn't fully know how to be a self separated from violence as well as a presumed masculine identity, having to try and find themselves now in a time without fighting and as something so exasperated from those around them.
CARLIE - MAGE OF HOPE
It's kind of hard to classpect Carlie due to how little we know about her in general, but I wanted to take the oppertunity to develop my own personal interpretation of her through the story, even if due to story plotting she's more of a time capsule before others development. (I imagine SBURB as a kickstarter project in this continuity with her being preserved as a dreamself, allowing her consciousness to exist from the creation of SBURB even if her physical self has passed.) Post-mortem, we know Carlie is essentially treated as a martyr and symbol for those around her, her tragedy used as motivation to do better and be the one who wasn't there the night she died, creating Hope through suffering.
My personal interpretation of Carlie is someone who's kind but a little rough around the edges, sarcastic and playful but ultimately deeply caring about the people in her life, leading to the impression she left on others around her. In her revived state, she carries this sort of unease and feeling of disconnect from the others in the session, everyone else has grown older around her, become entirely different people, they look at her so strangely and have created this ideal of her to strive to protect. Essentially, with the existence of the frozen past and the future deceased, Carlie has to contend with having a version of herself that she will never be, dead but preserved forever in a memory she isn't. She is simultaneously Hope and the shadow left behind in it's light.
