April. April was when I last posted, I’m ashamed to say. But it’s not for lack of movin’ and shakin’ in my life. Here’s what I’ve been up to over the few months.

+ First, on this blog: I finally bought my own domain, gonzalez.desi. Yes, there’s a top-level domain that happens to be exactly my name. Yes, I was totally tempted to buy up ten gazillion domains, but unfortunately my graduate student-era bank account didn’t permit me to do so. I’ve also added a portfolio of some of my projects from my grad school and museum days. 

+ In May, I traveled to Lima, Peru with some of my MIT graduate student colleagues to run the Creative Technologies Prototyping Lab: Education Edition. Over the course of four days, an awesome group of 50 Limeños convened to design technological solutions for problems facing Peru’s educational landscape. Participants came from diverse backgrounds—among them were educators, artists, designers, computer programmers, and entrepreneurs—but what they shared was an interest in coming together as a community to exchange ideas and skills. + I graduated! On June 5, the gods of Boston weather blessed us with a beautiful day as my colleagues and I sat by the Charles River, waiting with bated breath to receive our diplomas. I am no longer a graduate student, but instead an unemployed good-for-nothin’ with a masters degree.
