Whitney had an interview set up with the director of an up and coming film called: āThe Man Without Eyesā on a brisk night in New Yorkā the project was set to premiere in the next couple of weeks and the brunette was happy to keep up this blossoming routine of stepping outside of her usual. That is, interviewing outside of the music industry and dipping her toes into other entertainment forms. Sheād had only a handful of assigned projects like this one- a couple of tv stars, and a particularly fun interview with a ballet dancer- and needless to say, the pre-interview butterflies fluttering in her stomach never faltered throughout her entire career; it just came with the territory for her.
Getting herself situated at the rather elegant yet trendy lobby restaurant at the Hilton, Whitney made sure to have everything prepared; pen and paper, recorder, and a little glass of wine on handā yāknow, to soothe those nerves that the now 35 year old continued to have within her job. She had her hair pulled up in a wavy ponytail, sporting a black turtleneck and a crimson lipā a staple for her in the winter especially. Gold hoops adorned her ears and occasionally reflected the lights within the restaurant.
Making herself comfortable, those chocolate eyes spotted a figure walking toward her table, and she stood to shake the hand of who she was prepared forā only to be taken back slightly by the obvious outward charm and looks of the man in front of her. He had brilliant hair that sported a decent amount of gray and a mustache that could put any other sheād ever seen to shame- handsome, for sure. Hopefully, he wouldnāt be able to see her thoughts written all over her face, though it was likely. Either way, Whitney was more than excited to start this interview
As fate would have it, the man was not the director, and ended up being the lead actor instead- Randy Carlton. At the misunderstanding, Whitney could only laugh and admit that she wasnāt as prepared for him considering the circumstancesā but nevertheless, they were having a wonderful interview! The wine certainly helped her nerves, especially with the mishap, and she spent a good portion of the conversation laughing and smiling so much that her cheeks ached. He was truly something else, and such a joy to be around, even in this hour and a half ā or had it been two and a half nowā¦. that sheād known him.
āAlright, well- I guess the last question I have for you is: where does this film rank for you in your career so far? I guess what I mean to say is, in comparison to all of your films so far, has this been just as good of a time for you? Or maybe, the best time?ā
