CT 124: Morphological Analysis Pegs (Chains) Chained accessories are very in and will be in this coming season! I love how they are used more than just strings for bags and necklaces — they're actually the main piece to the accessory. They usually end up overpriced when designer brands sell it, and to think it's it's actually just a piece of a chain, but I really adore the Marc Jacobs Sporty Turnlock bracelet. (Though I can honestly just make one for myself... HAHA.) Image sources: lookmazing.com bloomingdales.com obaz.com shopsweetthings.com shop.mango.com fifikoussout.tumblr.com
CT 124: Morphological Analysis Pegs (Metal) Metal is probably a versatile material when it comes to accessories — you can make almost all kinds of accessories, if not all, with it. I definitely love metal-faced watches, and dream of owning a Marc Jacobs one. In the mean time, a Casio Vintage Rose Gold watch will do ;) #happybirthdaytome Image sources: etsy.com lydellnyc.com frockcandy.com pinterest.com cawoline.femelle.no larisa-lovely.tumblr.com estherboutique.wordpress.com
CT 124: Morphological Analysis Pegs (Beads) Beads can make an accessory more interesting. It's make or break — it can either make them look classy but sometimes they can make them look tackier. I love how versatile your look can get: from beach boho babe to sophisticated lady, all depending on what beads were used on the accessory and how they were placed. I also love how it can be used from jewelries to shoes and to handbags! CT 124: MORPHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS PEGS (SUEDE) I LOVE LOVE LOVE SUEDE! I own a lot of suede shoes, and is it weird that I love touching them? HAHA. aI love how sophisticated they look! But I just hate how I can't wear them out in the rain! If they get wet, even if it's just a little, the texture really changes. Same with not being able to use it after a while or overusing it. CT 124: MORPHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS PEGS (RESIN) Resin is widely used nowadays especially for jewelry. It's easy to use and handle (you just mold it to the form that you want)! I'd want to explore using resin, but I find myself scared of making a mistake! Maybe because resin is expensive, or maybe because I just don't want to make a mistake. HAHA. I also don't want to waste the resin from experimenting! Image sources: etsy.com pinterest.com sassanova.com ebags.com mooku.com.au
CT 124: MORPHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS PEGS (TARPAULIN) Another material I really want to explore using, but again very limited — I haven't seen it used anywhere aside from bags. What I like about using tarpaulin: you can print your own design onto it! Plus, it's very water-resistant, making it easy to bring around with the Philippines' crazy weather. Plus, if it gets dirty, it's easy to clean! I think another alternative to this is PVC plastic / vinyl? I've seen it being used as fabric for clothing on runways and even on celebrities like Katy Perry. Image sources: sunrainey.com istanbulmodern.org orlakiely.com cargocollective.com superdry.com
CT 124: MORPHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS PEGS (CANVAS) I think canvas is the most accessible material, but the products you can make with it are very limited — usually bags and shoes. Image sources: etsy.com gojane.com refinery21.com nordstrom.com pinterest.com vend.ly
