okay so for those of you that follow me on my main @caruliaa i appear to have been shadowbanned. this has happened to me before however in the past, while shadowbanning did mean you couldnt message or meaningfully interact with others, you could still makes posts and your blog would still be up, meaning anyone shadowbanned by accident would still be able to communicate this with their followers and mutuals. however, shadowbanning now prevents you from making posts and makes your blog inaccessible, giving the impression that your account has been deactivated to anyone who tries to view it which on top of not being able to message or interact with others means that you cant tell others what happened when youve been shadowbanned. the good news is that i can still make posts on my sideblogs so im making one here as it basically my only active sideblog to let people know that i did not deactivate and i am going to send a support ticket in with staff to resolve the situation, idk when staff will get back to me and fix this but in the meanwhile i just want everyone to know that i did not deactivate or leave tumblr

after this event has been on a hiatus for quite some time now im happy to say that its coming back my initial reason for the break was because running this blog and event became overwhelming for me and made me feel like interacting with and engaging in this fandom was an obligation rather than something i did out of enjoyment. i want to say first of all how grateful i am for all of you and how kind and supportive you where in your response to this news, this was a step i was worried about taking but the response i got was instead incredibly sweet and understanding and helped me feel better about my decision, and i just wanted to thank you all for that because it meant the world to me<3

now though, its been some time since then (a lot more time then i wanted actually, the suspension of my main blog @caruliaa pushed this back by quite a bit !!!) and im ready to bring csweekly back with one change, that being that this blog will no longer be reblogging the majority of the posts in the csweekly tags. I will still encourage people to check and make posts in the tags in my announcement posts for each episode, make poll regarding each weeks episode, and i will still reblog fanart, fanfiction, edits, gifsets, and in depth analysis in the tags to support these projects within the fandom (and a reminder that if you want me to reblog a project like this of yours it doesnt have to be related to that weeks episode ill happily promote it regardless), but i will no longer take my previous route of trying to reblog as many posts in the csweekly tags as possible. this means that running csweekly should hopefully feel less overwhelming for me and should take away some of that feeling of obligation.

i will still interact with csweekly as an event though !! its just that most this will be from my main blog @caruliaa (which is finally back i happy to say!!) this way i can do it more casually and at my own pace, focusing on giving my own thoughts and opinions over making sure iv reblogged every post in the tags, so feel free to follow me there.

whats the reason behind cs weekly?

to help resurrect the Carmen Sandiego fandom somewhat, iv noticed two years after the shows ended its pretty dead and while there are still some fans around, we aren't as active in posting about it and i hope this changes that and helps bring the fandom back a bit and potentially bring in some new fans!

what will this blog do?

every Saturday i will make a small post saying what that days episode is, and i (any/all days of the week lol) will try to reblog fanart, fanfiction, edits (amvs, gifsets, screenshot edits etc) and probably a few memes/shitposts/liveblog type posts that i find in the relevant tags to help share them!

i also want to help make fun fandom related posts (like ask games, polls, etc) and potentially fandom related events, anything from fanfic/fanart related things, gift exchanges, fave character tournaments (also using polls lol) and basically any other fandom events, i'm open to ideas so if you have any feel free to send them my way

(also this is a side note but i encourage everyone to try to make the things they post as accessible as you can, for example writing image descriptions for the pictures you post, ill try to describe some posts myself if you cant but i'm also just one person and i don't know your fanart/edit as well as you do so its helpful if the posts have image descriptions by default)

this event seems really cool! but ive only found out about it after it's already started, can i still take part?

of course you can! if you do so recommend watching the episodes you haven't yet on your own time, then joining us for the latest episode but if you've seen the series already you can also just join whenever or even just for specific episodes. it's also okay if you want to participate but are busy some Saturdays, feel free watch the episode for those days on your own time and then join us the week after, you can even post about the episode in the csweekly tags whenever you do watch it and ill try to reblog your posts !!!

whos cs weekly anyway? ew

i’m jules !! i actually go by many names and calling me jules in the context of this show might be confusing so you can also call me flappy or any of the other names i go by. im a huge Carmen Sandiego fan, as well as taylor swift, nintendo and other animation (and other tv shows/movies lol). i started this event to help bring back the fanbase for cs somewhat and just to hopefully have some fun. my main is @caruliaa and you can find out more about me there, that's also were ill be interacting with the fandom from for the most part and were ill share my own thoughts on the show/analysis/fanart/fanfic, so go there for things based more in my own opinion :]
