it's been a while since i've posted an official update but if you haven't seen from my most recent posts, the draft for episode 05 is complete!

funnily enough my computer decided to crap out on me today but all is okay (thank the lord for github)! i am currently finishing off my last few edit passes and will be handing it off to my beta readers sometime this week. i don't have any definite dates in mind but I am hoping at the earliest for a late april release. if not, we will be looking to release in may.

ep 05 has come to about 72k in total, a lot more than i had originally planned but hey-ho, i am just glad it's finally coming to an end! thank you for all the kind messages and patience whilst i've been hammering away at it -- i know it's not a great look to disappear when people are waiting for updates on the game. we are so nearly there!!!

no doubt many of you have seen what's happening over on itch.io with nsfw and adult games.

chop shop has not been delisted but is only searchable from a logged in account with the nsfw viewing settings on. this doesn't trouble me too bad as i only want over 18's reading the game anyway, but given the uncertainty re what's going to happen on itch moving forward i think it's best to have chop shop somewhere else to play as well!

my vision for chop shop has always involved adult themes and explicit content. all i wanna do is write a sexy car crime game damn it!!! so, to keep it short and sweet i've uploaded it to neocities as well.

i hope you are all doing well -- i have not written up a real update post in some time. it's been a good few weeks since episode 05 released and i could not be happier with how it turned out. thank you so much for all the praise and love in response to it!!

i have been trying to keep up the momentum and churning out episode 06 the past few weeks. it is currently up to 25k words which i am very pleased about. i am aiming for a smaller word count for this next episode to keep the schedule moving along nicely but honestly i just never know with me when the ball really gets rolling lmao.

i've also been moving forward with some overhaul plans i've had on the back burner for a while. overhauling and rewriting always sounds big and scary but it only affects one scene/branch from the first chapter. i will share more when the time calls for it!

the end of the school year is coming up and that normally gives me a big boost writing wise as work gets extremely quiet. i will be taking a month-ish break in august as usual and will be back to writing in september!

hi all! i'm on my summer vacay!

yes i did say i was so close to finishing ep 05 a month ago and yes it's still not here......

honestly, the whole itch.io thing threw me through a loop and i couldn't focus as well as i would've liked in what i thought was the final stretch. the last couple of weeks felt like spinning wheels in mud, so i handed off the unfinished chapter to my beta readers to get some feedback on how it's shaping up so far.

i've already got my own plans and notes on how i want to change some bits. i also deleted a whole chunky branch that ended up feeling unnecessary in the end. frustratingly i didn't come to that conclusion until it was almost done but hey ho, that's just the nature of the beast. it's about 65k right now, no doubt it'll be more when i am done.

i really wanted the new episode to be out by now but obviously that isn't happening. apologies all round, as i know people are waiting for it but i want my full concentration and effort to be put into all chapters and not release an update just out of the pressure to do so.

for now i am resting and enjoying my summer break. i will be back at it in a week or two -- see you then!

a quick one from me, episode 05 is at about 40k! i have been on demon time the past month trying to get some real good progress done lmao. i estimate another 10-15k to go, so that's not too bad...

this is not a promise of any kind but i do hope this ep will get released in the summer! i've been fleshing out episode 06's outline and setting up the file so that i can get started as quickly as possible when the time comes. i am going to be out of commission for the majority of august, so i'd really like new material to go back to.

i'm also thinking of offering early access to the demo when new episodes come out over on ko-fi? not sure if people would be into that but if you are give me a shout or let me know your thoughts!

straight to it, episode 05 is coming along. january was a slow one (winter, yuck) but we are getting the foundations of scenes in place now so I can start the branching and variations. i am about 10k words in of an estimated 50/60k.

i keep thinking i'm writing so slow but i just released an episode in january LMAO, so i'm taking it easy for now. i haven't had anything come through the bug report form for the previous ep so that's good! (or bad who knows) i still need to release a patch for some things i've noticed on my end but i'll probably leave that for awhile if there's nothing pressing that needs attention.

thank you again for all the lovely messages and asks after the ep 04 release :') i am feeling more motivated than ever now we're over the hurdle of the first act of the story! excited for what's to come!!!!

hey all!

a quick one from me -- episode 05 is currently at 24k words. so, we are almost at the estimated halfway point. april was a slow month for me, i got super ill right at the end of march and was out of commission for a couple of weeks but we're all good now!

there's not much to report except for we are still chugging along. i've had a few ideas on how to develop the skills and motives further but nothing is set in stone right now. i am feeling good about my writing at the moment and will be riding that for as long as possible for ep 5's development!

we're here, it's almost time, it's happening!

a quick update from me as i haven't done one of these in a long long time -- episode 4 is now done! woohoo! the wordcount comes to about 58k. i have just handed it off to my lovely beta readers and will be continuing to edit as the comments and feedback rolls in.

normally i like to give the betas 1-2 weeks for feedback and another week after for myself for editing. but, since the holidays are very very close, i'm not sure the usual timeline will be in effect. so, i don't have a solid release date yet, either some time late december or early january, but it is close!

also very excited for this update as i've implemented a 'challenge' mode that disables the back button - so if you want to play cog style you can! shakes up the gameplay and gives people choice!
