Oh GOSH um, I have a lot of OCs so I don't even know where to start lol, I guess I'll tell y'all about some of my newest OCs!

I have a gal named Amelia Conors who's really artsy and kind of eccentric, also a recent immigrant from Ireland so that's fun, I'm not entirely sure what to do with her yet, but if I'm being completely honest I saw a really pretty moodboard that inspired me to make her so 🤷‍♀️

I also recentlu made a pair of twins, Audrey and Elijah Kendall. Audrey is kind of rebellious, definitely a more rough-around-the-edges type. She's also a very dedicated martial artist and wants to be an MMA fighter, she's also pretty snarky(even if she isn't always very smart). Elijah is basically the polar opposite because I'm a sucker for the whole "total opposite twins" trope, the main thing they have in common is that they can both eviscerate you with sarcasm, although Audrey is more likely to beat the shit out of you, and Elijah can be kind of stiff and awkward around people.

16 - wet, rotting leaves

“Did you know?” Maja asked and looked up from our joined hands, “Spring smell isn’t actually the smell of fresh flowers and bloom.”

“It isn’t?” I asked and she slipped her hand out of mine, hunching down to the forest floor.

“No. It’s the smell of rotting leaves and wet moss.” She poked at the ground with a stick, turned some of the leaves around that were still covering the floors, remaining from autumn and winter. “It’s because when it becomes warmer, our sense of smell becomes more sensitive, so we actually smell the decay of plants that was stopped during the cold months. But since days become longer again, our brain linked the sun and this smell together. We conditioned ourselves to like this smell because the sun makes us happy. Look at it. They’re sticking together with slime and mud. Already holes bitten in them by bugs and snails and microbes. The slime is usually because of fungi actually. So much at work here, really fascinating actually-” she stopped then, stick still tearing some of the wet leaves apart and looked up with an embarrassed smile.

“Yes. So. Small fun fact.”

15. what is your OC’s worst habit?

Lydia's worst habit... is probably staying up too late to read at night, thus throwing off her sleep schedule and making it hard for her to have a regular circadian rhythm. It also sucks cause sometimes she's forgotten what she's read and will have to go back and read aa chapter or two anyway. She should just put her bookmark in and go to bed!

20. how is your OC coping with the pandemic?

So in a Real World(TM) AU, Lydia would actually... be alright? Like the first couple weeks/months of adjusting would be hard, but I think she would learn to appreciate the time at home and the ability to explore new hobbies and work on her to-read list. I can see her taking time in the backyard so she gets enough outside time to keep herself sane too though. Reading outside can also be a nice change of scenery from reading on the couch!

I have a few WIPs, and I’m still not entirely sure which one I’m going to focus on most, but for the sake of this ask, I’ll go with Cry, Lost Boys! (You can find out more about the novel itself on my WIPs page! It’s all put together, minus the links for tags, playlists, etc.!)

The main character is Orion Moors. He is a trans man (there are no books out there for trans men so most of my MCs are trans and no one can stop me), who lived in rather unsupportive household. So when he was bitten and turned, the moment he figured out what had happened, he ran away. His parents could barely handle him being trans, he knew that his life was over if they found out he was now a were-creature. (Wolf, specifically.) He spent a year or two running around on his own until he was taken in by Forest Callahan and the Comets - the biker gang that consisted entirely of were-creatures. He’s usually dyeing his hair wild colours, has a love for the stars (hence his new name), and fully embraced the idea of being a werewolf not long after he turned. He’s finally free, and knows he can protect himself, and has a group of people he considers family. It’s the most he could have ever hoped for, really, and he lives for it.

Then we have Forest Callahan. He is part of a rare type of werewolf: he was born to two werewolf parents. Usually, werewolves are turned by someone else’s bite, and after that, they make the decision not to have kids because, well, who knows how that might turn out. But Forest’s parents decided to take that risk, and as far as he’s aware, there’s nothing too wrong with him: he’s a werewolf, same as his parents, but hasn’t run into any complications so far outside of being a bit of a handful to figure out how to raise when he was a pup. He eventually left home with one goal: to find other were-creatures, and give them a family and a haven for were-creatures that don’t have malicious intent toward others and would never bite anyone. This family group ends up being called the Comets, and Forest is their unofficial leader. Nothing has ever made him prouder.

Last but not least in the cast of main characters is Tristan Weber. Tristan is nonbinary and gives zero fucks. Whatever pronouns you use for him, zero fucks are given. Generally, in human form, he presents as male and so that’s what he goes by with ease, but will always tell newcomers that they are in fact, nonbinary, and anything works. Tristan is a close comrade of the Comets; he’s not a wolf, rather, he is a were-fox. But it’s a mutually beneficial arrangement, and Tristan is all about giving people help and receiving something in return. For the Comets, the fact Tristan is so small and sly makes them the PERFECT scout and spy. He can wander ahead of them in whichever direction they plan to make camp in and come back to let them know what’s what. In return, since Tristan is by nature a much smaller were-creature - and human form for that matter - the Comets offer him a safe space to live within and without any concern of being jumped.
