Q: A ship you’ve abandoned and why.
Honestly? InuKag. Why? Because of Naruto.
I took a break from Inuyasha to jump into the Naruto fandom, where canon ships meant that the woman was there to fix the man. That was it. That was the ship dynamic. She gave up her life to fix him, no matter which character, no matter which ship. She was supposed to put him together with no regard to herself.
So when I got back into Inuyasha, my mild enjoyment of inukag soured, especially when that's all the content -- Kagome helping Inuyasha heal.
No hate toward the ship or the dynamic or the people who enjoy it because it is a good ship and there's a lot you can explore with it. Tortured, broken men are a thing for a reason in fiction and romance. And it's amazing to read.
But I personally couldn't continue with it. Between my time in the Naruto fandom and my own personal experiences, I've turned my fandom attention toward other ship dynamics.
L: Your favorite fanartist/author gives you one request, what do you ask for?
What do you mean, no minotaurs???
Artist: There's a scene in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix at St. Mungo's after Arthur's attack. They're visiting for Christmas and they find Neville there visiting his parents.
That, or in The Last Battle when New Narnia is coming into focus and there's Reepicheep, guiding the way.
Or (and one day, I will own this), a painting of the Dawn Treader on the high seas, the painting that pulls Edmund, Lucy, and Eustace into Narnia in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
Author: Aang and Zuko throwing the most ridiculous bachelor party for Sokka before he gets married.
Or Caleb Widogast's internal heartbreak after Fjord kissed Jester.
You said no minotaurs, okay?
