It was a standard cute avatar and forum site that I was a member on (since the week after the second version went online) sometime in 2009? 2010? As it turns out, logging off for a while to finish college, avoiding the site for months afterwards to job hunt, and pretty much forgetting about it for two years saved me a ton of grief.Ā
Over that time period, the site was hacked at least twice (with images posted involving some horrible things) and they hemorrhaged enough money that they outright shut down.Ā
They passed the source code on to the users, which resulted in its third incarnation, Sapherna.
Iām considering joining and looking up some old acquaintances to see if they wandered over (considering that some of them are starting over for the second time, yikes).
