Why did Black Spinel come to Homeworld?

Lol, its an old AU I made way before Future came out, but thanks for your interest!

Ive actually been working on re-designing the Black Court for a bit.

But to answer your questions:

Yup! In the AU, White and Black were twins born at the same time. They ruled Homeworld together but due to differences of opinion after making First Contact with other alien life, Black Diamond took her court and fled to the deeper parts of the Galaxy. White forbade the very mention of her name by that generation if gems, so by the time Yellow, Blue, and Pink came around there were no gems left that remembered Black.

Black went on to form a new society with the organic races she found, blending the then-fledgeling gems she had created and these organics into a new society and its own way of life.

Due to the difference in Society Structure, Pearls created in that Court function very differently being more akin to Team Management. Their ability to store and process not only items but vast quantities of information means most Pearls in this Court are often leading teams of other Gems typically in daily living like you would see in construction, business management, ect.

There are a couple different kinds of Pearls: Dusty, Black, Silver, and Golden. Their colour doesnt really effect what job they take due to Gems having less of a hierarchy structure under Black.

The gems most commonly seen in the "Assistant/GemSiri" role like Pearls are, are usually Tanzanites or Tourmalines but not always. Black Diamon's main assistant that would fit the closest role to The Pearls is actually a Selenite.

Black Spinel actually doesnt go to Homeworld, but goes to Earth following the events of the final episode (Pre-Future) after Steven sent out his message to the Universe and Black is curious to see what lead to White finally agreeing to change.

Don't think Black's Court is some utopia either. It has its own problems that spring up when you have one immortal race that is constantly intermixing with many different and flexible cultures and Black's desire for harmony was acrually the driving force behind the issue and how a desire for harmony to the point of erasing one's own culture and sense of self was actually one of the larger parts of the story.

Initially, Ace started as my sole SteelStep (this was pre-Erin’s gender crisis). He was supposed to be the chaotic energy to Chen’s immovable force, but as I developed his personality further, they just didn’t fit well. So, he ended up with Daniel!

(Also has a Daniel/Ortega poly path where he can be a toxic shit with Ricardo lol)

He got his name from the Farm. Pre-decanting he picked up on the thought of ‘this one’s our ace’ and that word stuck with him. He doesn’t even know or remember who it was from, but Ace was his first word essentially, and he kept it.

Has a temper, and it usually comes back to bite him. He still never learns, though.

On his mob boss path, he ends book 2 with the sole purpose of taking down Hollow Ground and taking his place as the criminal kingpin. Purely because he can and wants to lmao.

(And because he has the idea that if he makes himself an untouchable villain, the Farm can’t get him again)

Out of my three Steps, he’s probably the most involved in the villain world (at least intentionally. Vallen just drifts that way because of her personality lol).

Came out of Heartbreak with the hunger scar, and boy does it show. He wants anything and everything, whatever he was denied before. He wants a life, a good one, and he’ll get it no matter what.

This possessiveness also bleeds into his relationships. His love is greedy, all-consuming. If he’s got you, he wants all of you.

Despite the above, honestly, he came out of Heartbreak better than Erin and Vallen. Sure he’s angry, but he’s making that anger useful. Erin is self destructive and Vallen came back…really wrong.

cause phil's like still virtually immortal, right? cause of being married to the goddess of death and all that. and he hangs out with this guy. this guy who looks like a pig and fights really really well and constantly says the line "technoblade never dies", which is not only an indication of immortality but it's also in third person which makes it just so much more official. and his motto is 'blood for the blood god', which means godhood is implied. plus the thing with the potatoes. really, what's up with the potatoes. but immortals are weird, they have weird hobbies with all that free time. So clearly he must also be immortal, right?

come to find out he is actually worse off than anyone else by only having one canon life and has survived thus far purely because he is (ahem) doomsday-is-coming-tomorrow level prepared at all times. like seriously, why does this guy have so many supplies? are that many skulls really necessary? and what is with the potatoes? you actually have a limited lifetime why are you spending it on potatoes.

why would an immortal-possibly-also-a-god guy be hanging out with someone who's actually even less than what is considered mortal? did he just find him in a dumpster? who adopted who in this scenario? who picked who up by the scruff of their neck and went 'okay you're coming with me' and then left? either way it's odd.
