Well, it was recently March, so I have March Music recommendations:
cootie catcher, "Straight drop," Something We All Got. You wanna listen to some twee-ass indie rock like it's 2007? I was surprised to learn I kinda did, actually.
Em Beihold, "Brutus," Tales of a Failed Shapeshifter. An appropriate enough song for tumblr in March.
Kiss Facility, "Lynch," KHAZNA. Dark and moody electronic stuff in the vein of your 90s trip hop situations. Sung entirely in Arabic, no idea what they're talking about, but the vibes are immaculate.
Gena, "Theybetterbegladihavetherapy," The Pleasure Is Yours. Funky ass throwback R&B.
Cryptic Shift, "Hyperspace Topography," Overspace & Supertime. It's metal, it's only 5 songs and it's over an hour long, you know what's up. Proggy and crazy.
LaRussel & Lil Jon, "Wake Shit Up," Something's In The Water. The endlessly prolific rapper teams with the King of Crunk for a whole album.
Eliza, "For The Hell Of It," The Darkening Green. Smooth R&B type vibes.
The Scythe, "The Scythe," Strictly 4 The Scythe. The rap collective Denzel Curry has been building over the last few years makes it official.
La Reezy, "POTNA," LEADER OF DA UTH. The jam of the month. La Reezy never misses. Repping for New Orleans like no one has in a long time.
Neurosis, "Untethered," An Undying Love For A Burning World. And certainly the biggest metal story of the month, the surprise return of Neurosis. The highly influential and much respected band came to an abrupt halt when they broke up after learning their singer was abusing his family in 2019. Seemed like it was the end, and a terrible one, at that. But suddenly, they're back, teamed with the singer from Isis, one of their most interesting disciples, and the results are amazing.
