“So, listen up. I told you my dad has started establishing his own restaurant, right? And it opens tomorrow night, and I’d like to take you out. You in?”

These days were nice - just relaxing at home, pizza the only thing separating their bodies while they ate. Never, in a billion years, would he have believed that he would end up living with this boy from highschool. But here they were, and ... honestly, Noah couldn’t be happier about it.

Noah had thought about this for weeks, contemplating over and over how he could propose to Dmitri in a ... memorable way. Of course he wanted it to be special, of course he wanted to give his boyfriend something he would love to remember, whenever life got too heavy and he needed a memory that filled him with warmth and comfort.

In the end, Noah had decided that the proposal would be ‘memorable’ by nature. There was no need for a special location, or for a certain amount of people to be present. All they needed were each other, and Noah would turn their home into a place that would get the message across - that he loved Dmitri, that he wanted to spend the rest of his life by his side, that this was exactly where he wanted to be.

The light was dimmed, quiet music playing in the background. Of course he had cleaned the whole flat, got rid of needless odds-and-ends that would take the focus of what mattered most. The flat was filled with a pleasant scent of pastries - of course he had baked, hoping Dmitri would enjoy that small detail of ... domesticity. The ring was still in his pocket, just waiting to be revealed - Noah could almost feel it pressing against his frame, calling out for him to finish his preparations. 

The sound of Dmitri’s keys made him hurry up and light a couple of candles he had placed on the tables and shelves in the living room. When the door opened and Dmitri stepped in, everything was in place - including Noah, who stood right by the couch, heart hammering fast and hard against his ribcage.

   ❝ my darling. ❞   a good start as he holds onto dmitri , making sure the mortal stayed nice and close to him.  he hadn’t expected his fondness for his fledgling’s sexual partner to grow , but it certainly had whenever they were able to spend time together , oft with jeannie not in sight.  after all he often travelled and while he was gone jeannie got dmitri all to himself.  he wouldn’t change how he lived his life for either of them , but it made the time able to spend with the both of them that much sweeter.

     ❝ i love you. ❞     just said out of the blue as presses a kiss to dmitri’s leg , looking up at the other with a small hum.  they’re in a cabin , just off the grounds of a festival.  still close to the sea because it wasn’t as if he could go very far inshore without getting ill.  but dmitri had sounded excited about it when an advertisement had appeared on television , so it had been easy to organize this , to make sure dmitri had time off.
