mikasa did NOT cradle gabi's head like this in the anime and i think the distinction is important!!

because yes while jean and connie were undeniably closest to sasha, we got a scene of mikasa crying at sasha's grave alone. along with other one on one moments throughout the series so they were close friends too :((

and mikasa was the one who threatened to kill ymir in season 2 because 'i have no more room in my heart' to care about people besides eren and armin.

To say that Izumi was HAPPY to be home was a rather large understatement. After everything he'd been thought, without going into so many details, it was nice to be somewhere FAMILIAR, surrounded by his family in a place that he knew he could be himself. Where he wasn't as susceptible to being SCARED, even though it still happened occasionally. It wasn't nearly AS bad as it could be -- his time at the hospital proved that much.

Izumi hummed softly to himself, a small smile pulled at thin lips as he stirred the ingredients in the pot, relishing in the WONDERFUL scent of Katsudon. He loved it, but the fact that is was IZUKU'S favorite was the whole reason he had memorized it. Well, ALMOST. He just wasn't sure much mirin to add. 

Izumi paused, jolting EVER so slightly as his brother appeared next to him. He looked over, looking at Izuku in confusion -- talk to him? About what? Was something wrong?
