Drill by @coach_pradeepkumar #pkyblog #pkyvlog #tsa #thesportingarsenal As we know there are two type of swing in the cricket. 1) Natural Swing 2) Reverse swing NATURAL SWING- This swing is done with the new ball. This swing depends upon bowler wrist, seam position & pitch Conditions. So you have to consider all of the situation. JUST TO TACKLE THIS SWING a) I generally ask my batsmen to play on the front foot and try to reach the pitch of the ball just to counter swing of the ball. b) And focus more on the wrist of the bowler's hand that will give you an idea which swing he is trying to bowl. c) Most important thing is that you should know your off-stump guard. That will help you to decide the ball to leave or to play. (For Out Swinger balls) d) If It is in-swinger make sure that you are putting your bat in front of the pad while the ball is hitting the stumps. But if incase it pitches outside off, there is no need of putting your bat in front of the pad. This will avoid risks of LBW. REVERSE SWING- This swing happens when one side of the ball continues to shine and the other side of the ball becomes rough, the bowler starts getting reverse swing. a) Many people think that playing reverse swing is easy but it is very tough to play because of the inswing movement of the ball. So, just to learn how to deal with this SWINGING balls, I brought this idea and implemented into practice session for my students.
