Cell caught a flu bug from work and has been basically catatonic for the past day and a half, all of us here at the Center are working double time to catch up on taking care of things around here and helping Cell get better. We’re hoping they’ll at least be functional enough to try a half shift at work tomorrow, but no one’s holding out hope there.

In any case, the rest of the Crew and I wanted to make sure everyone knows what all is going on, and that we do have all of the asks and replies Cell has been working on, we’re just distracted trying to take care of everything else right now. We’re hoping Saturday at the latest for most of the updates.

Any case, that’s all I had to say.

I actually wasn’t home for it, Key and I found out about everything after the fact, but from my understanding, Bahadur actually didn’t really notice anything different until trying to speak. Apparently, female Bahadur has the opposite problem male Bahadur has and has a very hard time speaking louder than a whisper versus struggling to speak softer than a full bellow, and the effort of speaking at a more audible level gave him one hell of a headache.

I ALSO HAD A VERY SORE THROAT AND COULDN’T TALK AT ALL FOR ALMOST A WHOLE DAY, IT WAS VERY UNPLEASANT!

AH-! Bahadur! Don’t startle me like that!

It’s okay, bud, you didn’t mean anything by it. I guess I just wasn’t paying attention. Uh, did you want to say anything further about the experience?

WELL, I SUPPOSE MY ONLY REAL THOUGHTS ON THE MATTER ARE WHY SO MANY HUMANS SEEM TO PUT SO MUCH IMPORTANCE ON SOMETHING THAT DIDN’T SEEM TO CHANGE ANYTHING! FEMALE, MALE OR OTHER, I AM STILL WHO I AM!

Yeah, I know what you mean. Human society puts a lot of pressure on enforcing the so-called gender binary, and lots of people get hurt just for wanting to be accepted as themselves. Like myself for example.

AH, YES, YOU EXPLAINED THIS ONCE! YOU PREFER A PARTICULAR SET OF PRONOUNS, BUT VERY FEW PEOPLE USE THEM BECAUSE YOUR PHYSICAL APPEARANCE IS A PARTICULAR WAY!

Mmmhm. I’m luckier than a lot of people who go by they/them pronouns, I can look very androgynous with how I dress. But I still get people using she/her just because I have curves to my body and have long hair, matching the societal stereotype.

IT SEEMS TO ME THAT IT WOULD BE A LOT LESS HARMFUL AND TROUBLING FOR EVERYONE IF PEOPLE JUST ACCEPTED THE CHANGES AND MOVED ON WITH THEIR LIVES! IT ISN’T LIKE THE PEOPLE WHO DON’T FIT INTO THE BINARY ARE HURTING ANYONE, THEY JUST WANT TO BE THEMSELVES!

So, thanks to the wonderful @shadowbluehusky and some discussion with my bitties, we’ve decided to allow visitors to talk to the Sanctuary’s Bitty Crew! This is a bit of a trial thing at the moment, so the only ones really up to talking are Ed and Bahadur, but eventually, pretty much everybody should be available to talk to the Crew (with some exceptions).

For those just tuning into this blog, Ed is a standard Edgy (Underfell Sans) bitty and Bahadur is a custom drider Papyrus bitty. Feel free to ask them questions about themselves, the Sanctuary, whatever you like!

Within reason, chuckle nuts. I ain’t answerin’ shit like that heat thing you blabbed about before.

INDEED! IF WE ARE AT ALL UNCOMFORTABLE WITH A QUESTION, WE WILL NOT ANSWER!

I AM SMALLER THAN MOST OF MY KIND, ACTUALLY! I MAY STAND AT SIX FEET MYSELF, BUT MOST NON-DOMESTICATED DRIDERS ARE A GREAT DEAL LARGER!

He’s not wrong. I did some research a while back and found out that the average non-bitty drider is something like 10-12 feet tall and in excess of 400 pounds. On a good day, I can actually pick up Bahadur, he’s only got about 40-ish pounds on me.

Ehhh, well, to be honest? I don’t really... Have that urge anymore. Or at least I don’t act on it like shop Edgies do.

Cell might not’ve mentioned, but it’s not like it’s a secret or anythin’ so- Yeah. Uh. I kinda came from a really messed up home. Couple’a idiots adopted me thinkin’ I’d be some kinda show piece’r whatever, completely ignored me all the time an’ only really gave a heck about me when company came over. But I could kinda take care’a myself a bit, y’know?

Well. Let’s just say the reason I’m missin’ a tooth an’ got a bum leg is cause I got caught tryin’ look out for prob’ly the only decent SOUL in that whole stinkin’ house. Cell is tryin’a help me get CPS sicced on their butts, but it’s slow goin’.

AS FOR MYSELF, I HAVE YET TO DISCOVER MY FAVORITE SNACK! CELL HAS BEEN VERY GOOD ABOUT FINDING THINGS FOR ME TO TRY, AND I’M THINKING I QUITE LIKE SPICY FOODS SO FAR!
