Yellow Melons Panoply

Yellow melons everywhere but which one to eat? You can’t choose a bad one, not on my experience. They are all sweet, thirst quenching, cooling....and diabetic friendly! Alright...let’s dive in!
- Give it a sniff! Choose one that has a sweet fruity fragrance.
- Give it a squeeze! Choose one that ever so slightly gives on the end.
- Give it a chill! Slice it open, scoop out the seeds, cut into strips, release from the rind, chop into bite size pieces, then chill. The flavors really come out when they’re served very cold.
Work your way through the seasonal melons this summer. You’ll be glad you did!

When I’m not lovin’ summer melon season, I’m sewing rooster aprons with pleats for my online shop ( www.etsy.com/shop/topdrawerthreads ). Or, I’m reading emails and crocheting scarves from recycled yarn for my other shop ( www.etsy.com/shop/topdraweryarns ). My daughter’s (and friend) have an online shop, www.etsy.com/shop/yesdesigns , where they hand make and sell summer knickers with pockets and hemp jewelry. My other daughter has an online shop, www.etsy.com.shop.shroombloombags , where she designs and creates mushroom inspired bags from recycled yarn.
