As Mini practically ran back into the mansion, she couldn’t help but call for the only person she wanted to be around ---- whether he’d actually help the situation or not. Either way, he had Grace right now, and as far as Mini was concerned, she wasn’t safe here anymore. “Alo? Alo!” she called, whipping her head around to begin her search for him. “Alo!” she repeated, jogging up the stairs and heading towards his room, frantic. 

Grace,I know I used to call your voicemail, but your phone’s been inactive for so long that now there’s just…nothing. Your voice isn’t there anymore and it’s just some machine saying the number’s inactive or whatvever. It’s bullshit – do people not realise that inactive fucking numbers are important? Anyway, I just needed to speak to you. Somehow. I know it sounds stupid, but when you came back, I just…felt a lot better. You knew all the right stuff to say, and I guess that’s because you weren’t really there. I just…knew what I wanted to hear and you said it. But you leaving again really fucked me up. You leaving in the first place really fucked me up. And it’s not your fault, obviously, but…yeah, everything kind of went to shit when you died left. I miss you, Gracie. And I don’t know what to do. You always had the best fucking advice, and you knew what to say. There’s so much shit happening and I can’t deal with any of it. Alo and Franky are confusing me, my mum’s fucked me up just as much as my da—-  everything’s just fucking up, and I’m so not ready for this baby. She’ll be here so fucking soon and I’m not ready. Life wasn’t supposed to be like this, and I have no idea what I’m doing. But it’s happened, and it’s all happening so fast and nothing’s going right and Alo’s back and Franky’s here but she’s not here and I’m so overwhelmed and confused and I miss you. I need you. And I don’t need anybody. But I need you. And you’re fucking dead and I’m never going to forgive that fucking bastard and I’m never gonna see you again. Little one,I’ve tried to write this, like, fifty-thousand times, and it just comes out like shit. I can’t put how I feel into words, especially how I feel about you. I know it seems like I didn’t want you at first, and I treated you pretty badly in the beginning when I was still trying to figure out what I wanted to do with you, but I love you now, you know that, yeah? Alo— your dad, once said I didn’t know how to love anything, and it’s always stuck with me, and if I’m gonna prove him wrong with one person, I’m glad it’s you. We’re gonna show him, huh? I think--- I think I might love him, too but I’m---- I’ve fought so hard for you and maybe you’ll never even know it, but there’s nothing I want more than for you to come out all healthy and happy and maybe a little chubby and hopefully not with Al-- your dad’s hair. I’m just terrified. The thought of not being good enough at looking after my own little person who needs me is something I can’t even wrap my head around. It’s hard to think of you as person. Maybe not when you kick me in the bladder at 4am and keep my up all night wiggling, but yeah. You’ll be here soon. Really soon. And fuck, it’s terrifying.
