its almost like a catboy/girl au but there’s the addition of fur (partial or fully is up to you) the tail is more akin to the tail of a lion in shape and is a lot longer, like, to the floor and then anywhere from 1-3 more feet of length, actual animal instincts and stuff, and teeth.
oh and the face is elongated to a pseudo snout which increases the sense of smell and brings scents and pheromones into the mix if you want.
one of the areas that has fur is the upper chest, the fur here is much thicker and ‘poofy’ than anywhere else, it is also one area where scent glands are located which usually leads to heavily nuzzling that area.

mihawk and shanks are what is known as a ‘bonded pair’ think soulmates but not fated or whatever
mihawk always reminds shanks to actually bathe more than once a week, and to generally take care of his hygiene, while shanks reminds mihawk to eat and to do more than just train.
when they cuddle, their tails twine together as much as possible.
