The new concept of tourist (independent and influential) has forced us to think the tourism activity in a wider way and outside the traditional borders of tourism.
The generation of ideas and new activities in perfect harmony with the information and communication technologies and the creative industries is our base of action. We seek to design a more cultural, creative, digital tourism, based on content with sound and image, games and thematic activities.
These activities are part of the concept of Creative Economy that was systematized by the study "The Creative Economy in Portugal" by Augusto Mateus: The creative economy articulates a sectoral dimension - a cultural and creative sector that encompasses a core of activities directly linked to arts and heritage, cultural industries and a core of activities directly linked to functions and professions with a strong creative intensity - and a transversal dimension - the differentiated degree of penetration of cultural and creative components in the majority of the chains of design, production and distribution of goods and services regardless of their content and utility.
Thus, CREATIVE TOURISM is considered as the new generation of tourism, which implies the participation of tourists in genuine and authentic activities with the local population. The CREATIVE TOURIST is more attracted to the specificities and concrete sectors of the places of destination than to the generalist and material aspects, it is demanding and the singularity of the experiences proposed determines on a large scale the election of its destiny.
Together with creative tourism, there are endless forms of tourism for which we seek integration and the contents to be developed: wine tourism, idiomatic tourism, slow tourism, geotourism, relational tourism, congress tourism, industrial tourism, nature tourism, among others.
This new concept of tourist and tourism implies the participation of people from outside the tourism sector, people with a great creative capacity, and of public entities in a logic of cooperation and sharing, innovation and differentiation.
We propose to be the link of this tourism model through the creation, production and management of creative activities and contents for tourism. The link between the tourist and the operator: hotel, travel agent, rent-a-car, event planners, restaurants, mobile applications, and local operators. 2
