Earlier this week I was helping my mom cleaning out the kitchen and I found some old pots and pans underneath the sink. She told me I can have it, so I made some holes in the bottom and decided to make a succulent garden. I’ve seen a few people on pinterest making the cute little gardens and I really love it. For the past 5 years I’ve collected plenty of succulents and this year also started my own small business of selling succulent gifts for a pharmacy I work for as well as a home industry and a restaurant.
First I went through my garden looking for lots of small succulents and put them all together. Next I searched the garden for small rocks. This took me about 3 hours, which is really a long time and I wish I just went and bought a bag of rocks. But by collecting all these rocks myself, the garden became more special to me, because each small rock I picked up myself and the work I have but into this small garden means a lot to me now. After I collected these rocks I also washed them in a ice cream tub to make the rocks nice and clean to bring out all their colours.
The succulents are still very small so the pot still looks like it needs more plants, but I know in a few weeks time or in a month or so when these plants have started to grow it will look so beautiful!! And now I can watch these plants grow everyday until the pot is filled.

Many people won’t think that this is very creative, but I feel proud of my garden and I created it myself by picking out the succulents as well as hand picking all the rocks instead of just buying a bag of rocks and also instead of just buying a succulent arrangement.
