Include relevant work experience

May need 2 CV's - corporate and creative

Be positive

Be concise

Show awareness of market

Good presentation

Don't lie!

INCLUDE WHAT EMPLOYERS WHAT:

New ideas

Relevant key skills and achievements

Experience

Careers objective

WHAT TO INCLUDE:

Personal details - home address, email address

Personal profile - write this last, its a synopsis of you, 3/4 lines, summary of what I am and I am looking for

Education and Qualifications - reverse order of time so degree first, GCSE's last

Relevant work experience and volunteering

Other details - driving licence

Achievements / Hobbies - target towards career, make it relevant

References

Uses power words - such as 'demonstrated', 'enhanced', 'developed', 'facilitated' 

 HOW TO PRESENT A CREATIVE CV:

Eye catching

Print on quality paper, using a good printer

Design to target the right company - match the style to the company

Remember its a self promotional document

Think about colour, format, font etc

Make it easy for the reader to read

Keep it relevant

Language - don't try to be clever

Spelling - check, check and check AGAIN!

COVER LETTER:

Introduce yourself

Say what you know about them as a company and why you want to work with them

Say why you are so unique and they should chose to work with you

Keep it short and concise

Address to someone within the company

Ask them to reply if you want them to

Show that you're passionate and enthusiastic
