How to Make Work Visible (Pt. 2)
FOUR STAGES OF GOAL SETTING
Just like any other goals, the first step is to write them down. Never rely on memory to remember everything. From the previous Town Hall, Tom Secuya discussed the fundamentals of setting goals and the necessity of this being in line with the company’s vision.
Stating an ‘impossible’ goal may have produced a few giggles and raised eyebrows. But stating the impossible is the biggest step to get out of the comfort zone. A few people were asked about their impossible goals. It was a good practice for everyone that links to the previous Town Hall.
‘Possible’ is when the mind conceives the goal as something achievable. This jump of thought helps Carvers overcome the hurdles that hinders the goals they’ve set for themselves and achieve better goals for their clients.
This goal leads to another which is ‘probable’. Probably is doing it. There’s action involved to doing the tasks and overcoming debilitating mindset that ‘they can’t do it’.
