here's the funny thing about writing for leisure:

There's this meanie voice inside that tells you you aren't actually qualified to write, because you haven't read the classics, or the major ton of "legit" books sitting in your tbr.

But here's the funny thing about READING for leisure as a person who writes for leisure:

You think you should be producing something instead of reading blog posts, re-reading those good good a03 fics, scrolling web-stories.

But at the end of the day, you write because if you don’t, there will be some part of your soul that's missed. You read, because if you don’t, there will be another part of your soul that's missing.

So you may not be good at writing, or as well-read as you'd like to be. But it's part of you, corny as it is to say, so keep doing it, if it rests even just a little bit of your soul, for a little while.
