Esterso (eh-stair-so) deity of the night, shadows, desire, mischief, and heartbreak

Esterso is seen as a mother or parental figure to most of the darker deities and to the lighter a no good trouble maker. Esterso was born from the night winds and beams of moonlight when their father wished for a child upon a comet filled night. Esterso was born power hungry wanting to rule over and cause mischief among mortals where ever they went. Soon becoming so crazed with their godly powers that their father removed their left eye causing them to be banished and only to appear during the night. And curse with the duty of protection over the night and it's stars and moon. Until they could find their other eye. Which would be held by the one they are destined to be with. Under the cover of night when Esterso's father was asleep, even if it was very little they could do, they would lure and trick mainly mortals, sometimes another deity into meeting them in the night. Esterso would promise love and grandeur if they could meet. But if the mortal or deity would come they would not be met by Esterso's arms and compassion but with their companion, they made from the night sky, Crazar (cray-seh-zar). A monstrous creature that stands as tall as a tree with a body of a wolf, legs of a hawk, eyes of a goat, and wings of an eagle, with the coloring of the night sky. If they didn't have Esterso's eye, they would be attacked by Crazar. Most if not all mortals would die, most deities would get away with severe injury.

Esterso only has one temple dedicated to them. The temple of the great dark sky. Esterso is mainly prayed to for protection in the night and shadows, a well-rested night of sleep, a peaceful night, and protection in romance advances. Most offerings consist of cloaks, blankets, rings, quartz, rose quartz, moonstone, fresh fruit, and animal hearts. There is also believed to be a cult tied into this temple. The cult is called children of the dark sky. They will wear silver and white robes and kidnap virgins of any gender, and newlywed brides or grooms. They sacrifice them to mainly Crazar in hopes he will not kill anyone traveling in the night.
