Church of The Holy Cross, Nin, Croatia

A few pictures of the most smallest Cathedral in the World. It is located in the coast of Zadar, Dalmtia and it is considered one of the oldest churches in Croatia, being built in the 9th century. There's a theory that who ever designed this church designed it so it wont just just be a church for worship, but also a sun dial and a calendar...

thanks to the position of its windows and the angle of the fall of light is a kind of calendar, and according to the sun 's rays, the exact date of the equinox and solstice can be determined, which on the first day of summer is the start of an interesting event called „The Festival of Sun and Light. v
