idk but i feel like so many people—teachers especially—philosophizing on the Whys and Awfuls and How'd We Get Here of AI usage tend to jump straight to "the student is inherently stupid/anti-intellectual/tiktok-brained/just lazy and wants to never work and to only look at memes all day", for some reason, instead of settling for the far more sensible yet inconveniently less hurr durrrr kids these days of: well maybe the student is fine but they have at least 7 other just as difficult subjects to worry about, or they have a teacher who burdens them with inhumane amounts of work while pressuring them to be perfect, or they have something going on at home (maybe even more of that pressure), or they've been taught (by the school!!!) so many times that failing = public execution so now they don't even want to try and are only looking for the Perfect Result, the one that's going to win them as many Points as possible at Being Smart or Being Alive or Learning. or maybe they just don't want to do all that idk. Like is that something we ever think about that or nah

the thing they dont tell u about art is that you can give up halfway through and leave it a sketch, and life will be so easy and you will be so free, but then it won't look like how you wanted it to. Now if you want it to look how you want it to? you need to put in EFFORT. and TIME. you need to like, do lineart and shit. what the fuck is up with that? is anyone doing something about this?
