I think the psychology behind them is interesting and I’d like to think there’s really those alternate meanings to them,  but I definitely believe your daily life affects them. When I worked as a receptionist I heard the phone ring in my nightmares

I can’t really remember them most of the time (and if I do it’s one that was either not good or one that’s too personal to share with tumblr :P) 

But I like the dreams where I’m with friends and nothing bad happens and we’re just having a good time. I want more of those.

Agreed. The sexy lamps at least have personalities this time around.

I’m not entirely sure how much weight staff members have in the creative process for bnha, but if it would help that I hope they do get more women on board.

And like...as I mentioned before, if you love Shonen and regularly put up with it sexist bullshit, I can see why bnha would come as a breath of fresh air as a result. It does do better than most of its type.

For the 1st, Pop in Q and Star Darlings, like man both of those had so much potential and care put into them. It still hurts.

Star Darlings especially right now since I’m investing energy into restoring the dolls and even modding one for a character they never made :’D

For the 2nd, like I don’t wish ill on any magical girl that’s managed to be successful, let alone become mainstream. And a lot of the shows I actively dislike are pretty obscure among modern anime fans (although Jungle de Ikou is getting a blu-ray upscale/rerelease in the west so boo to that)  

Real answer: they form an unlikely alliance of sass & spite. He becomes a weird uncle to her that gives her fighting tips and gives bad relationship advice.

If Vegeta stands in the way of Madoka’s well-being, then Homura. But even then, Vegeta’s dumb as bricks, I feel like she could use that to her advantage.

They’re fun side stories that let you see moments between characters that don’t get much focus (like I think about Oolong’s interactions with baby Gohan a lot)

Plus I really like seeing what Toei can come up with without using Toriyama’s manga as a base but determined they do a new film twice a year. 

Things like: “We can’t use Freeza anymore -BUT we can make up a brother for him! and this time he’s made of regenerating cyborg metal thanks to an alien computer program”

Or: “Here’s an evil Namekian oh btw Namekian’s hate the sound of whistling children. *inserts an elaborate dance number between gohan & a baby dragon”

I feel like any shoujo manga veteran like Riyoko Ikeda, Moto Haigo or Keiko Takemiya making a magical series is something I would die to read & would probably be the most melodramatic magical girl series around, but it probably wouldn’t capture the spirit of magical girl manga too much haha. (Waki Yamato might be a good pick…)

On a similar note Mine Yoshizaki (Keroro) or Kosuke Fujishima (Ah My Goddess) would probably make a fanservice latent mg series if given the opportunity, but I would buy every volume because I just like their art that much

Most of manga artists/anime creators that I like or I think would be a good fit have already made a mg series at some point in time. So someone completely out of left field would be really interesting to read. (On second thought, Keiko Takemiya making a melodramatic sci-fi magical girl series a la “To Terra..” is something I need immediately)

*Edit- OH! and I would die for a series designed by Yasuhiro Nakura (Tongari Boushi Memole, 90′s Moomin)

☄️(headcanon that totally contradicts canon): Chichi is the most powerful Dragon Ball character if she wanted to be and if her dad would let her.  

Also all characters that we grew to love in Dragon Ball but got pushed to the side in Z are doing well and survived everything. 

❣️: (headcanon that I actually prefer over canon):  I haven’t gotten to GT or Super where we see more of Marron & Bura, but it doesn’t seem like they’re friends or at all into fighting like their parents, which kids don’t always need to follow in their parents footsteps I get it. BUT this is Dragon Ball. 

Marron & Bura are BFFs and secretly a fighting duo squad that fights crime and/or enters tournaments under an alias. Bura has already mastered going Super Saiyan & Vegeta better watch himself. (Pan can be included in this too)

💋(A "guilty pleasure" headcanon that I have): I feel kinda bad about shipping Goten & Trunks when they’re just little kids. But I’ve seen bits of them in GT and they’re boyfriends now. Plus I think it’s really cute that Goku & Vegeta’s kids are best friends, like we’ve come full circle.
