i don’t know why anyone in the fandom thinks that sam would lie about an emotional reveal for lols? sam riegel loves drama and he loves comedy, he’ll go from breaking your heart to making you cry laughing in one episode, but the two things don’t tend to mix. you not liking a character decision doesn’t mean it’s a joke.
okay i KNOW we’re all excited about beau’s crush on jester believe me i am so excited
but i am tired of seeing all the hot takes that beau is ~the only one~ who’s ever noticed that jester ~has layers~ and is complicated, as though the rest of the nein still blindly think jester has no depths below her cheerful surface
caduceus has for sure commented on this, and i’m pretty sure nott has also picked up on it, though i couldn’t name you specific moments. not to mention way back in episode 30 when caleb told the group he thought jester’s cheer was an act. like guys. i’m so glad beau appreciate jester’s complexity but let’s not act like she’s just had a brand new unique epiphany

Ahhsdh that’s why I’m sending on anon bc most people have Strong and Loud opinions on the matter x) but yeah it was a little jarring to see the difference in how people reacted to nott and beau’s conversation. And how nott was the one who brought it up in the first place, and honestly the signs have kinda been there all along now that I think about it..? I’m not rly invested into the ship itself, but more just being interested in how nott’s perspective/feelings is like, you know?x)
i’m right there with you, anon. i do actually kind of ship it as of yesterday basically because of the reveal (similar to how One Thing happened in the show to throw me headfirst into caleb/jester, another ship the fandom has Big Angry Feelings about) - not just nott/caleb but a long-long-endgame ship of caleb/nott/yeza in whatever configuration works but just caleb being fully integrated into their family - but like! that’s not the point! the point is that nott as a character has feelings outside of her husband and child!
lol i think i’m just giving into the fact that with all the yelling i’ve been doing about cr, i’m bound to end up on someone’s shit list so i might as well lean into it
Ohh I agree with you on the fandom not recognising nott as a whole person capable of being romantic etc. At one point she might get reincarnated into a more ‘acceptable’ looking character race, but I don’t think she should have to look ‘normal’ in order for people to take her seriously
right! i can understand not shipping nott with x or y other character but the fandom refusal to ship her at all - and it’s NOT because she’s married that’s a convenient cover - drives me nuts. the cr fandom has shipped so much poly in the past, we know that’s not the uncrossable bridge
also the reaction to nott saying she was attracted to caleb has so much been ‘ugh sam stop :/’ or that it was a joke/purely a tactic to get beau to admit a crush (that nott...didn’t know about???) and i...don’t like that.
This episode was just the ultimate package. I laughed, I cried, sat in a cold sweat, I became a multi-shipper... Good stuff.
