Congratulations, Kenwood High School!!! Scholarships galore!
As the school year comes to a close, Kenwood Academy High School, 5015 S. Blackstone Ave., is seeing the hard work of its students pay off in various scholarship awards.
According to the Assistant Principal, Thomas Frayne, the total amount of money Kenwood students received for scholarships this year is $19,617,268. With only 350 seniors enrolled at Kenwood, that’s a lot of money.
“The whole purpose for our high school is to prepare our students for college and we get a sense of how well we do that by these scholarships,” Frayne said.
