🧠 A fic that rewired something in your brain
go fetch god by bluebloodbruise - reading this right after the finale aired was truly an Experience. i don't think i've read any other louis/lestat fic that manages what this one does, which is to make plausible the idea that they could have a life together - that there's such a thing for a vampire as a little bit of personal change and growth that might even be more than just shifting to accommodate someone else. a very difficult idea to execute well, but this fic does it. it's beautifully written to boot, and a satisfying and engrossing read every time.
🔬A fic that made you want to examine (affectionately) the author’s brain
lead belly by i love you bug - a very fun little fic about louis, lestat, and the gabrielle of it all. insane from start to finish, and i mean that in the best way possible. also canon to me until the show starts bringing up gabrielle, and even then i will assume it still happened at some point:
“You know, my mother and I were very alike,” Lestat said, out of nowhere. There was a dreamy lilt to his voice, like he was lost in thought, like he wasn’t in the middle of a fuck already going down in Louis’ top fucks ever (all the list populated by Lestat).
