vigilante sickfic au, where tommy decides to go out on patrol while sick-- which is whatever, he's The Theseus, greatest vigilante ever, he won't let a fever keep him from protecting his city --and it all goes wrong from there. The last thing he remembers before waking up is The Syndicate desperately trying to get Tommy to go home because he obviously wasn't well.

Thing is, he's not in his room.

Shit, this wasn't even in his apartment.

Cue the screaming panic that comes with the fact he's most definitely been kidnapped, which only serves to make matters worse because Ares and Zephyrus, come rushing into the room to check on him. Because, according to them, Tommy passed out while they were fighting and-- mostly Zephyrus, Ares is very quick to add --didn't feel right just leaving him there so they took him back to their home.

Ah. Of course, of course.

He's just been kidnapped by The Syndicate, the most wanted criminal group in The Essempi. No big deal. He could probably take them.

Except, Zephyrus claims they don't want to harm Tommy, the opposite actually, they just want to take him somewhere that he knows he can be taken care of until his fever dies down. Which should be a simple enough plan, Tommy says a name, and they drop him off there so everyone can wipe their hands clean of this.

Except Tommy has no one he can name. No one ever stays long enough to care about him that much.

So, Zephyrus (who is already planning to draft up adoption papers after this conversation is done) tells Tommy that he'll just have to stay with them until he feels better, much to the vigilante’s dismay.

Cue the about 12k words of sickfic fluff I've got down so far, but should be more by the time I've actually finished it.

-Phil is Kristin’s archangel meaning he spent a lot of his immortal life accompanying mortals to their afterlife and helping others adjust to their limbo. He also helped create ghosts.

-after a while however Kristin and Phil wanted to have mortal babies and see them grow up, they wanted to have attachments to the mortal realm. So they have Wilbur

-Phil absolutely adores Ranboo and considers them his own

-Phil’s wings were damaged in the explosion trying to protect Wilbur (original I know) and Phil never could regain flight after that, he could glide but never fly again

-Kristin and Phil like to go on date nights in her realm however that translates to Phil’s body lying dead in the mortal world sometimes (shoutout to that one dsmp post that gave me this hc)

-Kristin can also visit dreams and almost every night she visits Phil’s

-Phil was not a good father to Wilbur, he didn’t know how mortal children were supposed to be cared for and he was single parenting since Kristin had to stay in her realm to continue her job. When Wilbur would later display signs of mental illness Phil looked at Wilbur like a problem to solve and not a son to comfort. When Tommy came along Phil was determined to do better with him which did lead to Tommy growing up a lot better than Wilbur however ended up with Wilbur being neglected. When Wilbur was 18 he would take Tommy and ran away from home.

-Phil tries much better now to be a better person to his grandchildren and does a way better job at it. Phil’s treatment of Fundy often leads to Wilbur feeling incredibly jealous which does not help his relationship with Fundy.
