could you illustrate this somehow? because i’m not sure what i’m thinking is the right thing. i would recommend you keep images as large as possible and use margin:auto; to make them centered, but it might not be that.

this is a little bug that I don't know how to solve exactly (i think it's a bug of the css itself), but you can mask it by setting the sidebar backgrounds (sidebar background one and two on the panel) with the same color as the posts
