Testing paper! This is a bright white 80lb cover stock (Hammermill Color Copy Digital Cover for anyone who wants to try it for themselves). It has received rave reviews from marker users (apparently copics blend like a dream on this stuff), but I needed to test it for colored pencils too. The surface is very smooth, which I prefer because they blend better on smooth papers for me. How about the rest of you colored pencil using coloring book fans? Do you prefer a smooth surface or something with a little tooth?

I will be assembling “coloring packs” of my digital download coloring sheets in my Etsy shop. These will be just like coloring books without the book. 20-25 loose single sided pages of my crazy detailed line art, printed with waterproof ink so this will work with both alcohol and water based markers, and each contained in a resealable slider top bag for safe keeping. Finally I’ll have something to offer coloring fanatics who lack access to a printer! 😃

I’ve had numerous inquiries about turning my existing line art collection into the full coloring book format. Unfortunately, I cannot do this for two reasons. First, in order to cover the cost of production and offer the quality I want, I would have to charge a hefty fee and no one would buy them. Second, many of these images are from contract works. I have only certain rights and permissions when it comes to these pieces, and having them republished through another company is not among them (and for good reason!).

Also yes. I’m not over Halloween yet. 👻🎃💀
