People often ask (with loving concern) why I call myself a witch. ⚡️ After all, the negative connotations of witches bestowed by the Patriarchy, Hollywood, and the media would certainly turn people off. 🤔 Gee, I wonder if Hollywood ever got a portrayal incorrect??? (Long Duck Dong, “The Token Black Guy”, “Fiery Latinas”, etc...) 🧐 Wouldn’t it make sense the portrayal of witches is also largely inaccurate? ✨ A witch is many things. A witch is a woman of magick. A witch is a woman who owns her gifts of intuition, empathy, and her body. A witch is a woman who masterfully manipulates energy for manifestation. A witch is a woman who understands the power of ritual and ceremony and performs them for the greater good of herself and all she loves. A witch is a woman who studies the earth and the cosmos and understands the natural and sacred cycles of all planets and sentient beings. She uses her wisdom to call into creation that which she wants and also to heal herself and others. . Why do I call myself a witch?
