Los Angeles County Bar Association Co-Hosts Healthcare Symposium
As founder of the Law Offices of Christian E. Markey III in Beverly Hills, California, Christian E. Markey III oversees the firm and its cases involving complex family law matters. A member of several professional organizations, Mr. Markey maintains membership with the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) and it Family Law Section. Founded in 1878, the LACBA is one of the largest metropolitan bar associations in the country with more than 24,000 members. It seeks to meet the professional needs of lawyers around Los Angeles and advance the administration of justice. In 2015 alone, the organization helped almost 18,000 individuals and offered more than $4.6 million in pro bono services. To reach out its members, the LACBA hosts events throughout the year that cover a variety of topics. One 2016 symposium, which occurred on March 29th at the LACBA’s headquarters, covered evolving issues pertaining to healthcare. This eighth annual event, co-sponsored by the Los Angeles County Medical Association (LACMA), also featured information on medical, legal and litigation issues pertaining to traumatic brain injuries as well as physician reimbursement procedures. Attendees had an opportunity to gain 3.5 hours of continuing education credit at this symposium, which also featured a dinner.                           Â
